I watched the clip twice. I want to hear what you think I missed.Stop lying, you did deny it.
Matthews did a good job of speaking for himself, go back and watch the clip.

As far as I'm concerned the only thing that you missed is the fact that welfare is a racial issue in the political arena. I haven't seen the Romney welfare ads so I can't speak on those specifically but I don't doubt that Matthews is right. Like I said, you seem to be trolling. If you now understand that welfare as long been a racially coded issue used by the republican party, then why are questioning Matthew's point here? The republican party is 90% white and a lot of that 90% is racist. You know what socalled welfare reform means to them.I watched the clip twice. I want to hear what you think I missed.
I haven't seen the Romney welfare ads
Hey, I didn't mention the Romeny ads. Again, I initially quoted you to check that BS about welfare not being a racial issue because they're more whites on it than blacks. That was an utterly stupid comment. You were wrong so I decided to help you out. Next time just say "thanks".So in other words...
you don't even know what you're talking about
Thanks for playing :shake:
Welfare is not a racial issue in the context of this discussion... you'd know that.... if you saw the commercialsHey, I didn't mention the Romeny ads. Welfare is always a racial issue in the political arena. The discussion was about some of the tactics that the republican party have been using to attack Obama, not a specific commercial in particular. Matthews chastised that guy for a lot of things that they have done in this campaign, not just because of some welfare reform ads. Stop it, you're not smart enough.Welfare is not a racial issue in the context of this discussion... you'd know that.... if you saw the commercials
The only one race baiting is Chris Matthews... and the folks who take him at his word here, w/o even knowing what the discussion is about
So even bringing up the idea of welfare reform = speaking in racial codes? Where did Romney mention "welfare queens" in his ads? Matter fact, when was the last time anyone mentioned "welfare queens" period?
What specifically is racist about Romney's birth certificate joke, or his welfare reform proposal? Those are the only things dude cited in the video, and he failed to explain any specific racial coding in either.
obviously, if the language is coded, a term as egregious as "welfare queens" won't be used. but codes are still used.
they've called obama the food stamp president. they talk about how dependent america is on govenment now. all of that is coded language targeted towards poor -- predominantly black -- people.
It's racist because joking about Romney's birth certificate is an underhanded joke about how republicans believe obama is some black kenyan muslim who is using the office of the presidency to usurp the united states goverment, and turn it into some marxist socialist state. It's racist because this birther controversy is because he is a black man with a muslim sounding name, they wouldn't be doing this if it was a white guy with a father from overseas that's for damn sure.
Who are "they"? Romney/Ryan specifically? And who is using racial code, when people are branding anyone who even utters the words "welfare reform" as racist? America IS more dependent on govt now more than ever, because of the recession and the growing size of the elderly population. We are running a $1.3T annual deficit. Why can't we talk about that? What does that have to do with race?
So in other words, it's racist because you speculate it as such, and have no hard proof otherwise
If we are going to make allegations of racism in the GOP there is plenty of low hanging fruit, from RP's ties to white supremacist groups to Newt Gingrich & Rush Limbaugh's outright racist statements. I don't like Romney or Ryan and think they are bad for the country, and I can lay out why very clearly w/actual examples. So I don't need to undermine my credibility by pulling the race card red herring like you and this dude are. You are using racism as a crutch in a situation where it doesn't even apply, AND where you don't even know what they are talking about. I guess any allegation of racism is good enough whether there is evidence of it or not
My partyRacism is there because it's true, anytime the GOP excuses anyone of their party from continuing to making these claims instead of deading the issue it's because they want to keep it in the minds of their male white voters. You say that I'm using racism as a crutch but you are just being willfully ignorant to what your party stands for because it's an inconvenient truth to you. So you act like it doesn't exist.
