Except no promotions do that. Top stars and champions do so many media appearances and shows they are forced to just keep the belt with them. In that Bayley interview where she was pressed about making a CBA she told how she always gets clowned at airports putting the belt through carry on.

Good publicity vs bad publicity. Having your belt stolen far outweighs some memes on the internet or Jericho releasing a Camron promo. This is a loss for AEW and Jericho not a win. No matter how you spin it. Go tell any casual wrestling fan that was on the fence about checking out AEW that their belt was stolen you will get the and they might not even check them out now.

That is the direct effect of this bad publicity.
