Great song but this dude needs to keep his mannerisms in check its embarrassing
I agree. I don't even like CB but I have to take my hat off to him for this 1. And it may be time to say he's the best dancing singer of alltime.
Is it wrong for me to assume he would whoop Drake's ass just by the way he dances?
Edit-This is the MTV Jam of the week btw.
It's not wrong to assume that you are obsessed with Drake
Wanna make a bet that you've discussed dude more on this board than I have? Your the 1 that has his face twice in your sig. You nikkas kill me with this ignoring the man in the mirror shyt.
In his search to become the perfect musical gentleman, Chris Brown didn't find the inspiration in any of his contemporaries. Instead, the often-controversial pop icon dug into the old-school crates, absorbing vibes from Prince, Sam Cooke, Phil Collins and his #1 muse, Michael Jackson, when coming up with the concept for his new single "Fine China."
On Monday (April 1), Breezy dropped the video for the single from his forthcoming LP, X. The track, which was produced by Roccstar and PK, holds sonic remnants of vintage MJ, and its video, which Brown directed himself, takes distinct visual cues from classic clips like the King of Pop's "Smooth Criminal" and "Beat It."
What stands out the most, however, is the battle-like dance scenes, which appear to be drawn from Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal," when Brown is tasked with saving a young lady in an iconic dance scene. Then there is the final scene, when Breezy's team of underground clubgoers pull guns on their rival Asian gang, who have come to break up Chris' forbidden romance. The clip ends with an intense standoff, just like the one in MJ's 1987 classic "Bad."
"MJ, I can honestly say he's probably my greatest influence," Brown told us. "Michael, he just set the foundation for every other artist to try to be great. ... I'm inspired to be as great and just try to be the best Chris Brown I can be in the process."
Can honestly say this is a forgettable song. The fact that he's clearly swagger-jackin' MJ makes it worse. Call it 'paying homage' all you want.....as a matter of fact, that's what a lot of people have been doing with this nikka for as long as I can remember. You can't spend your whole career 'paying homage'
The dude's a great singer, especially on this track. Dude's a VERY good dancer. The song's production is also great. The problem is, none of it is memorable or really stands out. The song itself is the problem....minor mention to the wannabe 'short film' music video. I already see one person who called this a classic....um, no the fukk it isn't. His songs like Crawl, Run It, With You and No Air are much more 'classic' than this track
This shyt is no better than 'You Rock My World' - an ACTUAL MJ song/video......and that's the problem, because 'You Rock My World' was wack in itself
And before people claim I'm hating on just him, let me just say that a lot of today's artists have his same problem. Great talents that are doing mostly-mediocre songs (and videos) for some reason. Beyonce is the first name to come to mind; as well as that thread on her where people were saying she only had a few real classics (which is true), despite being a talented singer/performer
Im simply not a fan of that sound, even when MJ was doing it.

You have to ask yourself is there anything MJ could do that CB can't do. And then ask the same question in reverse, that's why I say CB is the best when it comes to that dance shyt.
