:comeon: CB has been "paying homage" his whole damn career it seems. When is he gonna be his own man? The thing with MJ is that even tho he borrowed bits and pieces from his idols, he managed to formulate it into his own style, and kept trying to be outside the box with it.

If these dudes really wanna honor the GOAT...they should strive to be original and creative and not copy and paste shyt.

CB has plenty of non MJ influenced songs and videos. I don't bytch and moan when Trey Songz does a obvious R.Kelly impression because he's honoring the man responsible for influencing his career. I didn't trip when R.Kelly bit Lenny Williams style. I tripped more when Kellz bit Aaron Hall's image than I did by the Lenny Williams shyt, I would have a problem is CB was biting these current nikkas that are his peers like Neyo and Trey. There's not many songs CB done that you can say sound like MJ. Sure he's done vids that are MJ-like but if this song was made by a new guy you never heard of you would probably like it.

It'll debut on Boston radio sometime in late July. Although since I left town, new hip hop stations have been introduced. Maybe end of June?

still warming up to it
i like them too. the vocal arrangements are pretty nice. I just don't feel his voice pulled it off. to me it sounds like when i try to sing very high pitched/falsetto. maybe it's a personal opinion, i don't know. like you said, different strokes...

still like the song though, dope music, nice vocals for the most part, and even the lyrics are nice (and a nice video). pop or not, it's a solid/dope song,

Is it wrong for me to assume he would whoop Drake's ass just by the way he dances?

Edit-This is the MTV Jam of the week btw.

Brolic... Alcoholics
Swagger jacking someone else's style is not cool :rudy:

I now have a bit more understanding of mad Jordan stans regarding young Kobe. :ehh:

nikka that shyt was heat. You're in hater mode right now. There will never be another MJ or Prince. This is what we've got and the dude is doing a pretty good job considering some of the bad situations he's gotten himself into the last 4 or 5 yrs.

Can't remember the last song I listened to 10 times in a row. The Weeknds "Wicked Games" and Rihanna's "Diamonds" got plenty of spins but this 1 breaks the record. It's like on The Temptations movie when Barry Gordy was asking his staff if they only had 3 dollars and could buy this song or a sandwich which 1 would they choose, If I couldn't steal this shyt off the net I would buy this song over the sandwich.
