Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
If Kobe cant get 6, then I want Duncan to get 5.

Dude was a quietly the dominant player of this era, and even more so (long term) than "the most dominant big man ever."

The thing that makes me say Duncan over Shaq is Duncan's defense. In an era of great PFs, Duncan was the best defender of them all and would do a great job containing and stopping those guys on the ball. He still a great post defender today with bad feet and knees. I really think dude can still be a damn good defender into his late 30s/early 40s in a way Shaq never could.

I never thought that I would be as big of a Duncan stan 10 years ago, as I am today. When he retires, the game will lose so much because he is the last of the big men who's game didnt revolve around running and jumping.

edit: and seeing you added "This era's Kareem," you probably agree with me that Duncan could play into his late 30s/early 40s and still be an effective player.

Yeah, defensively he's just on a different level from Shaq, always patrolled the paint and had the Spurs routinely in the top 5 for opp FG% and defensive rating. I think he could play into his early 40s, if they win the title I really wouldn't be shocked if he retired this year since his contract is up as is.

I've been watching him play since Wake, always loved his game, just a big fan of post players and PFs in general.

I will be indifferent when he retires. Ive never been enterained by the spurs and they almost ruined the nba with their game in the 00s. NBA great but he always seemed like he was taking a win from another team that deserved it more.

Your old bitter ass still feeling that ether I see

yeah, I been watching him since he was a freshman at Wake too. I didnt really REALIZE how great he was until he won Wake the ACC title with Tony Rutledge's bum sauce self.

I tried hard as hell to hate on dude when he went to the Spurs because I thought DRob was a corny ass dude with a corny hair cut, but when Duncan got them that title I had to back up. I still say that Duncan's game 6 against the Nets is the best performance I have ever seen from any player. I would put any of Jordan/Kobe/Shaq/KG/Dirk/Hakeem/whomever you want great playoffs games against what Duncan did that night.

I will be crushed when he steps away because he is the one guy I know can still contribute more, even at an advanced age.

His post moves, that bank shot :wow:

Ed, you my brother but you need to stop trolling on this point.

You can say you think Shaq is better (which i disagree) but you can't EVER say he wasn't fukking with him breh. Shaq was the last of the GIANT big men. There haven't been any real centers in the league since he came.with the exception of a couple. The position changed to big PF playing center. He reaped the benefit of being left behind with little dudes cause he wasn't on none of that shyt when Hakeem and nem was around (even when they were old)

This a great point. The center competition during shaq's "Prime" either sucked or were flabby and sick versions of the 90's centers.

Shaq didn't even make 1st team all NBA(98') till Hakeem/Drob/Ewing were :flabbynsick:
