Yeah, the trailer instantly made me think Spike is tapping back into his School Daze vibe for this one.

Flat out love the direction the movie took, and it's very needed. Jewels will be dropped throughout, media participation in the depiction of what chicago is will clearly be brought up, and the only people looking for something else is some low educated idiots looking for some nikka shyt. And at some point we have to decide we are more than just the white man's nikkas.

It reminds me of this TERRIBLE movie starring Trina that came out a couple years ago called "Miami Tail"


Same premise, The women of the community stop having sex with Gang Bangers until they call a truce and stop the violence. This movie was downright awful, only reason I watched it was Becuase my Aunt had a big role in it (if you've ever seen it she plays "Mama Africa") and Becuase Trina was in her prime....


Of course I know Spike's version is going to be MUCH better and my crush Teyonah Parris is in it so I'll definitely support.


And if anyone has any doubts about Nick Cannon playing against type, see the movie American Son. He was very good in it

The ones doing most of the killing are teenagers, why is Chiraq full of almost-40 year olds? Spike never does his research he just gets his mind around an idea and runs with it. He's creative but that's all I'll give him.
