I still believe in Chip's system, and wish we'd kept him for OC. No matter what people say, I think it works with the right QB/RB/OL group.
The problem was Chip's obsession to being The Man, and needing to buy the groceries and he couldn't handle "The Black" personality. He wanted to talk to educated brothers with slower speech and less bass in their voices. I don't think he was racist, just bigoted into wanting "intelligent" Blacks to run his system, and he couldn't compromise.
Knowing that he's also a narcissist, I'm very sure he had a lot of problems with personnel, whether players or front office, and used a lot of triangulation and gaslighting to assert his dominance. I'm sure after 2+ years of hearing the same kind of shyt, Lurie finally thought a move needed to be made to save the team.
It's no less than a fukking tragedy what happened here. We were VERY close to a Super Bowl team when Chip got here. I'm not going to give Andy Reid a pass, as he needed to be gone too. He never would run the ball, and it lead to a few great passing plays, some decent Shady runs, but it held the team back from its real potential.
Both a$$holes thought they were geniuses that could do no wrong with any kind of personnel (Andy ducking put a OL coach as his DC
), and they quickly started making themselves the show, protected by a NFC East that was very competitive. Now it stinks for the year, and Chip got majorly exposed. But this team is a wreck, worst that the McDaniels shyt by far.
Kind of wish Chip had to stay and fix it, but you know we all dreaded that he could fukk it up even worse. It's a lot easier to just pay off the rest of Kelly's contract, than be forced to pay angry free agents that Kelly refuses to use because he can't adjust a scheme a little bit and he keeps sorry ass QB's.
