Listening to Lurie's interview it's clear Chip thought he was the God of the Eagles and Lurie had to check him.
b-b-b-ut he's a genius
I just wanted something to believe inI remember before the season started most people were against chip but some people were trying to spin some of chip's moves as if they were some low key genius shyt we had to wait and see. How did that turn out?
Sorry Philly fans but this makes no sense. You give the man the keys to the team, let him construct the team the way he wants. Say "this is your team we have your back" and then after one season get rid of him? Why not pull him in say "you made this mess you better have a plan" and give him a second season WITH THE TEAM YOU LET HIM MAKE??!!
I could care less about the Eagles but this was stupid IMO. You don't give someone one season "to do it his way". Y'all might be happy now but this is some Dan Snyder shyt right here.
ive never seen so many people celebrating a firing, in and out of the city. its like even the rest of the country felt the pain of philly fans.
even the local tv anchors were taking shots at chip. i know i cant be the only one that watched "good day philadelphia" on FOX on like monday morning, before chip even got fired.
the cool ass white oldhead chris murphy was mocking chip like "i cant deal with strong black men. im a white guy from vermont."
dog he had to go.
the players dont like him and the fans hate him.
even the tv anchors were dissin him.
this is exactly how i felt. but after listening to Lurie Chip deserved to go. The thing is Chip made VERY bold moves; bold transactions in terms abundance and magnitude. To me...Chip made his team. He went for Demarco and Bradford (giving up quite a bit in terms of cap space/picks to get them) , and then he let go of key offensive players such as Evan Mathis, Todd Herremans, Lesean McCoy, Jeremy Maclin and Desean Jackson in favour of folks like Josh Huff who simply did not measure up. I wont even get into the draft picks and defense over the last two years.Sorry Philly fans but this makes no sense. You give the man the keys to the team, let him construct the team the way he wants. Say "this is your team we have your back" and then after one season get rid of him? Why not pull him in say "you made this mess you better have a plan" and give him a second season WITH THE TEAM YOU LET HIM MAKE??!!

I hear you but for everyone who was bytching they we're just in love wit him 11 months prior. Soon as he goes into next season and starts 4-2 they would love him again.
I don't agree with giving someone the keys and then saying "never mind bruh give them back".
