im pretty sure, half the people in here talking about this "system", or "set-up", cant put their finger on it.. they just "know" it exists.. which, is baseless finger-pointing..

dog, i know being from the hood and being about that life is two different things. i've already said that these little chitown nikkas are NOT about that life. that's my point, and that's what i said lupe REALLY is about that. these dudes think making videos, snitching on themselves as they carry guns, is what the "life" is about. you nikkas have it very twisted, and i blame this internet culture for that.
unfortunately, kids around the country watch those videos and really think that's what the life is. dudes who are about that life aren't in the streets clapping their guns.
running around the hood, busting your gat over gang affiliation has nothing to do with being about that life. imo, the dudes REALLY about that life are the ones who moved in silence, got that bread, and kim from the bullshyt. which is why i said that tweet from lupe wasn't just him reaching out for peace.

I'm sure a lot of people here do not come from unfortunate circumstances. Some things you are born into and it's hard to break the cycle.

But I can understand in his music that he understands the code. Respect, loyalty, trust (or lack therof for the most part) and the fact that bytches aint shyt. And you respect it more cause the lil nikka is so young but understands. The first time I listened to Back From The Dead, I was like

But the subject matter in shyt like Trust None, Everyday, Save That shyt etc had me
when I really listened to it. (Listened to it high
