Sanctuary cities dont work with feds unless they have violent illegals typically. Why are you defending this policy of shipping folks up here? Chicago is not in a border state. We dont get funding for them, Texas does!

“Not Texas fault” yes, the moment they actively accepted asylum seekers and started bussing them, yes, it is their fault. Being in power in a border state means you are going to always have that as an issue. They get funding for that purpose from the fed, Chicago does not.

Also, if most of them are coming from countries that are failing (Venezuela et al) then that tells us people are going to try to migrate. In that case, the fed and the border states work together on that. Now if what we are saying is Democratic cities should suffer so they can put pressure on the fed for border issues, thats a bum ass take but an understandable one. Peoples lives are affected and namecalling does not beget the intential taking in of and exporting of migrants just to mess with blue cities hundreds of miles away.

Southern states have LONG been saying this is an issue and have been getting ignored by the government. In fact, the government was the one that cut the barbed wire fence that texas put up to keep the migrants flowing.

The minute that these liberal states get a fraction of the immigrants coming in, they start going ballistic. This is what was voted for, and they bragged about being sanctuary cities until they actually had to start housing migrants.

not completely true. While I haven't seen them downtown or at CPD HQ, but, those migrants are actually being put all over the city. from the hood to the nicer areas where folks live.

The razor wore fencing caused some deaths and was injuring folks. Lets ignore that and mention that Texas was causing issues with relations with Mexico over that issue. Yes, this has to be addressed. No, killing/maiming folks and causing problems with Mexico was not the move.

And yes, it IS Texas fault. Again, these arent illegals being bussed. They are here legally seeking asylum (whether the claim is legit or not is what gets processed later) but they are being shipped wholesale to areas that dont have the funding or infrastructure for them to come every day. It isnt some big “gotcha” that people are upset about it, we dont have thousands of people get passed like a blunt that we cant pass back with no funding. Texas gets federal funding for this! Because people are on his ass and he doesnt know what to do. Anyone with eyes can see he doesnt know what to do but he cant just come out and say it. We could start turning busses back or shipping folks out but there still needs to be funding to do that. I can tell you first hand they are being put all over. The problem is they are NOT being put near our downtown where there is actually a ton of room ( ) and the black neighborhoods are least able to afford the strain. They are absolutely being put everywhere.
