Are we living in a socialist society now? When has America ever been about equity in scholastic achievement? I'm not talking about race, that's another subject. But not having selective enrollment schools is very counterintuitive of a capitalist, free market society that values competition. We are going to get left behind by the other countries. In the next 20 years we are going to see the adverse affects of fukking up educational funding and the impact of outdated (and unauthentic) curriculums on American society as a whole.
