t-dot till they bury me
Easy to say all the way up in Canada
:ehh: true; I'm not directly subjected to the same type of prejudice, oppression, racism that some of the coli community is forced to endure. That doesn't mean that I don't want to see change.

Sometimes protests, chants of "my saviour...", and religious hymns of peace just won't work. Sometimes forgiveness does more harm than good. Sometimes violence needs to beget violence. Maybe that could be a catalyst to some sort of change.

Either way, hope the guilty parties do not remain safe and protected, rather persecuted in the street and met with the same fate as the young brother who was murdered.

Insulting the BLM movement doesnt make him a c00n. That movement has been co-opted by lesbians, white liberals and homotional fakkits. They have 0 clue what they're doing and no direction.
Stop regurgitating Tariq Nasheed, you're embarrassing yourself.

It's a tricky situation

The Civil Rights movement was a concentrated movement to fight institutionalized racism

What's going on now is a string of isolated incidents. An unfortunate trend for sure but provided most of the cops are put away, can we call it institutionalized racism. If Freddy Gray's and Laquan McDonald's murderers are put behind bars, then what can you do? No amount of riotings, looting, protesting, marching or singing church hymns is going to prevent isolated incidents of police brutality regardless of the ethnic background of the victims or cops involved.

Didn't the president of Mizzou just get fired?
Yes, but you must wait to see the actions of the man who replaces him before you claim victory, if he allows the racism that his predecessor allowed then the 'victory'(if you can call it that) is purely symbolic.

You're not getting it:
Group A oppresses Group B and will continue to do so until Group B effectively retaliates and serious negotiations take place.

"effectively retaliates"
That's the thing, how does a powerless group retaliate effectively? You can publicly protest but what do you(you being a member of the powerless group) do when the group with power says 'who cares about your protesting, fukk you'. I agree that Group B needs to retaliate so some serious negotiations can take place, but that cannot happen until Group B controls enough resources to make Group A meet their demands. A powerless group B negotiating with Group A is just begging and pleading.

They don't need a legitimate reason to oppress us. They've never had one and it ain't never stopped them before. When we were marching peacefully with MLK were their not hoses, dogs and beatings?

They've certainly had their reasons, they may not have been legitimate but they certainly had their reasons(for example see the book page I posted earlier), and I'm not interested in handing them reasons on a silver platter.

Trust me, it matters.

Things are at a boiling point in this country. Especially when it comes to hardcore right wingers. Another incident like Baltimore/Ferguson could see some serious backlash that would make even Dylan Roof blush.

Fortunately, Chicago knows what they're doing. Charging the cop before the vid is released. Dropping proof on the eve of a major holiday. People on social media are barely talking about this. Just hope the media doesnt try to stir the pot like always
You're confused, bad police behavior is the problem causing civil unrest, not the public's reaction to bad police behavior.

Missing Minutes From Security Video Raises Questions
Chicago police officers deleted footage from a security camera at a Burger King restaurant located fewer than 100 yards from where 17-year old Laquan McDonald was shot and killed, according to a Chicago-area district manager for the food chain.
After the shooting, according to Jay Darshane, the District Manager for Burger King, four to five police officers wearing blue and white shirts entered the restaurant and asked to view the video and were given the password to the equipment. Three hours later they left, he said.

The next day, when an investigator from the Independent Police Review Authority asked to view the security footage, it was discovered that the 86 minutes of video was missing.
