My granny lives in Roseland, in the wild 100s. Whenever I come to town she won't even let me visit her at her house because she's afraid I'll get carjacked or catch a stray. We gotta go meet up at my aunt's house in the south suburbs because she feels it's safer there. Sad shyt.

When I first moved to Chicago, I linked up with this yellow BBW. I picked her up at her job downtown, banged her out at the Telly then took her home. She said she lived in Pullman but looking at the address we was at on Waze, I think it was Roseland lmaoo. Had me in the wild 100s at 2am. She was trying get it in in the car but I politely declined and got the hell outta there. I ain’t trying be in the hood past 10PM anymore. Too old for the unnecessary drama that unfolds.

media sensationalism. the reason these stories are publicized is to get clicks. cuz for the average person, there is no war zone just existing and doing day to day things on any given day. chicago isn't even close to leading the country in shooting or murders.

I was back in Chicago for a conference a week or two back and EVERY Uber driver I took was talking freely how bad it is. One lady said she will never take the red line anywhere. One person even told me that my hotel in the loop was “probably ok for walking during the day…”. Another dude said forget the south side, he lives on the west side and never even does pick ups there anymore either. Talked sports with another dude and when I asked him if he went to any Bulls games this year and he was like “only 1…too much going on over there for me to want to keep going back”

It was the first thing they wanted to talk about..like, not the weather, but Chicago violence.
