If these people are not doing their jobs, then its time to cut their budgets

They were supposed to be there and they were not, and the reason why they were not there is because the CPD believes that by turning a blind eye to the gang violence, they will get more funding, more OT, and goodies that will be used to violate the civil rights of Black people.

This is 94 all over again and there will end up being a new crime bill that doesn't address the issues, mainly:

1. These kids would not be out there gang banging if they had shyt to do (ie. jobs and upward mobility)

2. The reason why there are no jobs and upward mobility is because it would then place power in the hands of Black people, which is something that a system of White Supremacy does not want.


We have already seen examples of a drops in crime with summer work programs for these kids...EXPAND THAT PROGRAM....DO MORE OF THAT and you will see more drops in crime

There's no way you're this naive - I'm not telling you what I *think* they might do - I'm telling you what they're doing right now. I'm not "conflating" anything - I'm giving you an explanation of what federal troops do when they're dropped into urban areas here in the United States.

Federal police have never been used to break up intra-class violence in the United States because its a waste of time and resources.

I disagree here, and for two reasons.
1. Depending on how and where they are stationed, the additional group of law reinforcement can prevent / deter crimes from being committed. Either by freeing CPD to send police to patrol the high activity areas or by providing that type of presence themselves. It's an election year and " the crime rate dropped once I got involved" is something Trump wants to be able to and cite numbers

2. Depending on the definition of federal troops/police, groups under that banner have been used to stem crime waves before.

U.S. Marshalls brought in to bring in fugitives in Ohio here

I participated in all them programs 2013 - 2015

That 2 milli will be chopped, black shorties will get the crumbs as usual

I did "1 summer chicago program" during 2013 - 2015... We only got $60 a weekno lie.... Our escorts or overseers was getting $18 - $20 a hr for doing nothing

Them cacs up north was getting the most & better internships They got free unlimited ventra cards, brookfield, lincoln park zoo internships etc...

Meanwhile out south

We're building gardens & working like slaves..

That is what they SHOULD be...but it ain't gonna happen by itself naturally. Unless you want cacs to come in an exterminate black folk (and Trust, they ain't gonna stop with the 'bad' blacks) or want to do it yourself, max effort has to be made to try and make street nikkas into a resource. Easier said than done but be realistic about how much effort and time we've put into everything else.

The fact of the matter is the that the programs did lead to a drop in crime...that's a fact.

The idea that you didn't make as much as you think you should have doesn't mean the program isn't good, it means that it needs to be built upon and improved.

These programs aren't being supported by the GOP nor will they ever be
