Yea, it's getting to that point where you just have to separate yourself from the people who are doing the damage to our (black people's) image. They're not gonna stop, and some coli posters will tell you that if you don't live in that particular place, then you shouldn't give a fukk about what goes on there. I really wish you fakkits would just talk about it instead of these passive aggressive, non productive “when will we be ready to talk about it” posts. Cuz when you do, you’ll realize you’re joining a conversation that’s been going on for decades. This forum (well its predecessor) had a thread in Chicago violence before Kanye uttered the line comparing the number of murders in the city to soldier kills in Iraq. The discussion goes back to at least the early 90s (I only draw the line there cuz of my age as an 80s baby) where we had movies like Boyz N the Hood, songs like Self Destruction and peace marches in hoods all around the nation. So either join the convo or shut the fukk up with your fake concern.

Thank you! Anyone that actually cares about the crime issue knows that it has always been a discussion.
We put pressure on police for two seconds and all of a sudden "we're not ready to talk about black on black crime"
And it's not like these guys have anything valuable to say. All of their "solutions" amounts to "get rid of them!" as if it's that simple.
If somehow we rounded up every single shooter in Chicago and mass executed them, how will you prevent future killers?
Maybe the answer to that is to fix the institutional problems in the black community or even clearing the water of lead like the guy above me says.
But these dudes will just dismiss it because they don't really care about crime...
Years ago, the family moved into a building in South Shore with old lead pipes, I ended up with Crohn's Disease. I hated the taste of the water there when we first moved in.
