Looking at something in the Garfield Park area as an investment, let me know what y'all think about that area.
Invest breh.....a lot of loft space around there.
i wouldn't try to move there.
what is wrong with Austin?
Nothing wrong with Austin, but Garfield Park is closer to downtown, to Logan Square, Uke Village, etc. Normally I wouldn't care except the realtor was like I ain't goin' there
Invest, my husband and I own 2 rental properties in that area. We have a 3 bdrm renting at 1250 a month. You're not living there so I don't see why not. You have your blocks in that area where you definitely see pride of ownership and then you got those bad drug infested blocks. I'm sure you'll have no problems getting rents.
I was checkin out a complex in Englewood. It was called New Englewood "?????"
shyt looked mad safe and family-like.
Englewood is South Side, Garfield Park is West Side. Thanks anyway for the tip though *daps*

thanks my beautiful sista. You renting to families or room by room? Section 8? Month-to-month or lease? You covering utilities? Thanks in advance for answering the questions.
We have yearly leases and the both tenants are Section 8 (you have to have a year lease with section 8). We do not cover utilities and I would never purchase any property where I had too.
How long does it take to get set up with Section 8? How are the tenants? I did Section 8 before and had a horrible experience That Section 8 payment comes on time?
