Just finished episode one and it's weird seeing all those ppl rushing to the scene not realizing or caring about how dangerous the shyt was they rolling up on....it woulda been a sick day for me....a pack up and get out of town day, fukk all that.

No one knew how exactly dangerous it was. It was complete ignorance. Even from the engineers themselves, they could not believe that core exploded. Firefighters did not know they were exposed to a full meltdown of a reactor core. Hence why ol boy who picked up the graphite. Right after he pick it up you’ll notice his hand kept feeling funny until the next scene you see him with his hand looking like Freddy Kruger face. As Legasov said: you’re dealing with something that has never occurred on this planet. As because they tried to cover it up instead of dealing with it, it made it much worst. They sent thousands of people to their deaths because they tried to keep it secret. But radiation knows no borders. Once it reached the rest of Western Europe it was wrap. Hindsight is the best sight. But we still learning from this accident almost 40 years later. The effects of that night will be studied and felt for thousands of years.

They did an amazing job with making everything look retro just like back then.Probably cost them out the ass to recreate some of that shyt.

Well the cigarettes aren’t real. I was curious one day and I looked up if actors really smoking cigarettes and they have two companies who make fake cigarettes for movies. It’s made of some sort of leave similar to hookah

No I understand all of that but I’m saying ain’t no way I could ever be that dumb...you know the potential of how dangerous radiation is and can be before you ever step foot in there. If I had to step foot in there the first thing I’m doing is having someone check those radiation levels.

Now I’ve only watched the first episode so I’m wondering how long it takes for ppl to start realizing shyt on their own and start bolting up out of there....maybe they are all just that dumb and never do run up out of there. I just find that aspect incredible cuz it only takes one person to know what’s up to get everybody else’s alarm going off.
