Not saying its Lebrons fault or Lakers, there has just been a weird dynamic the past few weeks. Which will ultimately make the NBA worse instead of better once again. Nobody is going to tune into these wild ass scripted games if you can clearly tell whos being babied and shyt. Its hard enough to watch a whole game without falling asleep, now you can just turn it off once you see the swing coming.

At this point, is the NBA EVER going to have competent officiating? That's honestly the biggest issue I have with Silver. I knew Stern was never going to fix it because he's a wannabe gangster, an a$$hole, and a homosexual who I can't wait to see die, but I was hoping once Silver took over he'd fix it, but so far no luck.

Maybe, just maybe, you have far too high of expectations when it comes to officiating basketball. If they've NEVER had what you consider to be competent officials, maybe the officiating isn't the real problem.

the ratings are down so they are just going to shield their product... gonna toss the teams they dont like into the bushes for controversy... they will take the top 4-5 teams and make them bigger stories "beyond basketball" which like you said... doesnt even need to happen... Lakers are already good. Media already ran things into the ground for content and its not working... they've always favored stars which is not new. But they straight up dont care about referees doing shyt at all anymore. Adam Silver is running this shyt like its a Kardashian Episode and its only gonna hurt the product later on. Id rather see basketball for what it is, where you gotta play and win normally. This shyt is like watching golf professionals, but some of them start on the kiddie tees and have handicaps set into the scorecard, its completely bizarre. Even though Luka is amazing, they will eventually start treating him like a bytch and make him unstoppable. Giannis might as well go to Golden State, they are gonna play him out as "A Greek God" and then just use the other narratives as guys who "overcame and destroyed a greek god" its corny and super predictable. Houston will never win, especially after that China shyt. To prove my point even further, everyone argues that Harden only gets calls during regular season... thats literally the point too... so everyone is basically saying "the refs only call what they want to control the game" the world already knows that the NBA picks and chooses what happens in their product. Even the announcers are trash nowadays, from the bad teams to the good teams and the dikkriding and blatant lying. Everyone is just out here for a check and not to play basketball, nobody is held accountable for shyt. Even Kobe used to get superstar calls and then suddenly he lost his spot in the league, then he didnt get calls and you would see him miss a contested layup and then not get back on D and just talk to the ref the whole shot clock. These dudes truly dont give a fukk because they know either its gonna work for them or against them. I feel like Lebron learned that in his last year in Miami, thats when he was like fukk it, I'm a superstar when they need me I will show up. They let that man take a vacation during his team playing, to sit behind NYK bench and recruit JR smith and Shumpert to his team which in turn was the direct moment Melo's career fell apart...to me, its clear Lebron and Melo dont fukk with eachother like that in reality. They let certain cats do whatever they want and then spin a wheel with how they are going to market the season. People rode hard in that "Standing on the court thread" which is cool, but lets be real... 3 seven foot dudes standing on the court during a game... literally blocking the wing players on the opposite squad is fukking insane. You can hardly come up with a scenario that is funnier than that shyt. Lakers are already really dope, they dont need to do that weirdo shyt to prove anything... it just makes the league look like WWE.
