Let's drop some facts Feb2002: he played all-star, Jul2003: he joined the Lakers. May2003 he ended the season as the #21 in ppg, 8 rb and 5 ast.

Washed compared to his prime years perhaps but statistically better than just about 96% of the league. But by 2003 we had a supreme class of PF in Dirk, Webber, Garnett, Dirk and Duncan hell even Jermaine Oneal. So with that class of PFs he just had to miss it but was still on that supreme level.

Then add Payton who was just selected All-star and was a star player.

Super team
feb 02 is year 01-02... 02-03 he didn't make the all star team.. he was washed.. he joined the lakers in 03-04.. do you not understand how basketball years work?

Are you washed cause you’re not better than Dirk, Garnett, Duncan and Webber but still manage to land the same statistics as top players today :mjlol:.

The special thing about the dude was that he played in 1 team for 20 years and performed on the highest level until he left for 1 season in which he had major problems with injuries.

Exactly....wasn’t an old Dr J there too....or maybe my timing is off, either way he had Moses, and dan Marley and KJ and Hakeem and Drexler......fukk
Chuck

Yeah when moses signed with the 76ers they had a 32 going on 33 year old Dr. J, Andrew Tony, Maurice Cheeks and Bobby Jones.

The 76ers won 58 games that season and took the lakers to 6 games in the finals. The team also beat boston in a game 7 in boston. At that time one of like 3 game 7s that had been won on the road. And only the second team at the time to beat the celtics at home in a game 7.

They lose to the lakers and sign Moses (who was the MVP that season) to a restricted contract. The Rockets match the offer but new ownership decide to trade moses to the 76ers.

So basically the 76ers were already a so called super team and sign the MVP of the league.

With moses they win 67 games the next season go 12-1 in the playoffs and sweep the lakers in the finals.

Side note - The world champion 76ers draft barkley in the offseason. Yes the world champion 67 win 76ers with the MVP (moses was MVP that year) had the number.

Correction that was 2 years later that they drafted Barkley. I was at work wheI typed that and meant to delete that last part.

3 teams won the title in the 80's, 3 teams won the tile in the 90's. :russ: nikkas acting like the league has ever not been a concentration of 4-5 teams. That's literally every sports league every year, there's never more than 4-5 legit contenders in any league with 30-32 teams. That's how talent flows, because there's never enough "next level" talent to make half the league viable which is what these goofy dudes think people want or even expect. If talent was diluted like that the quality of play would be god awful. Hell this is literally the most parity the league has ever had this decade, 6 teams have won the chip, nobody knows who will win this year even if the Lakers add Kawhi. The idea that there's no competition and that this era is different is absurd, talent has always been concentrated to a degree because that's how the winning teams form either organically or through FA.

All done by the fuhkin draft..not free agency

Big fuhkin difference. Clearly yall werent old enough to see those teams.

League has been like this forever.

Stacked teams were made by GMs being friends back in the day.

Now it’s just the players dictating where they go.

At the end of the day it’s just entertainment.
Y’all nikkas crying everyday about this shyt need to get yo priorities in order.

If super teams and load management are gonna be the norm going forward, I'm all for cutting the season to 60 games and removing about 6 to 10 teams from the league :yeshrug:

These dudes are obviously gonna have to be forced to compete. Its way too easy for players to destroy the competitive balance in the league right now.

With the way the stars are going about teaming up, a few teams may have to be contracted. They should expand the g league and international league with an increase in pay because everyone can't be on an NBA roster.

Yea this shyt nutty
Yall will defend whatever these nikkas do. I did too at first but now it's getting too much.
Free agency will be trash if it boils down to the top FA going to the lakers and the mid/small market team overpaying for bums cause that's all they can get no matter how good the front office is
There is no basketball reason for AD and Kawhi wanting to go to the Lakers over the Clippers for instance
All that legacy shyt corny, built your own legacy and stop rewarding that trash ass ownership group

Facts! It just doesn't make any sense. Feels like this ish is predetermined and these dudes can't think for themselves.

Blame “the goat” lebron , nikka can't win without stacked top heavy squads with multiple prime all nba/all stars and when they are capped out or peaked he bounces and forms a new one :yeshrug:

He is definitely the biggest offender of the way this league operates now. I hope the young bucks follow his business approach, but not his competitive approach to the game.

Act like lebron didn’t take the cavs to the finals in his early 20s with Walmart workers brehs ...
Act like he didn’t team up with two all stars to win a ring brehs.

Nah but really, it was a different structure to the league, people can barely name a player of the pistones that he knocked in the conf finals. Or any team in the east coast with more than 1 Star if any.
