But beyond that, discourse around the NBA in general is negative as shyt and has been for a minute. And the way the NBA’s media partners, including but not only Inside, cover the game has contributed to that. I don’t think that’s a controversial take

Not saying they’re on the same standard. I’m saying literal fans are shytting on the product and players. Call everybody out I mean people were in the floor seats literally yelling at players. The nba would still have these problems with or without that show. People barely respect the players. I’ve seen people on here saying they’re waiting on Cooper Flagg to save the day. Like younger veterans in the league right now. People saying the current young stars ain’t the guys. Saying call everything out and stop making excuses as to why shyt is bad.

Nobody should be making any grand proclamations on JJ’s coaching, whether good or bad. He’s not even halfway through his 1st year as coach, not just on the Lakers, but being a NBA coach, period.

Beyond that, the fact remains, many folks had the expectations that this Lakers squad would crash and burn this season given Bron’s age and that they didn’t change their roster. By nature of Bron recruiting him, I know many a person wanted him to fail, if only because he was an extension of Bron.

My #1 gripe with the NBA is the inconsistency of their national broadcasting schedule.

Take tonight for example. Friday night is usually ESPN's night to broadcast NBA. There are at least 5 great matchups tonight:

Celtics vs. Rockets
Knicks vs. Thunder
Cavs. vs. Mavs
Spurs vs. Nuggets
Hawks vs. Lakers

None of these games are on national TV. Why?

Bro there’s too many excuses being made. JJ need to coach and quit trying to get soundbites. Nobody is changing their minds because of this speech. I really wish the nba would get somebody to go to various fans wgi spend their hard earned money to go watch teams get blown out by 30 plus and see how THEY feel. I mean the product is the product even if you get inside the nba cancelled. He hasn't "failed" but neither did Vogel or Ham and they were dismissed. If he holds his job, its because he's a LeBron flunky, nothing more, nothing less.

I agree here. IMO he's moreso right that there are positive aspects of the game (talent level, parity) that are rarely appreciated

There is. No post play, damn near every play starts w/ a pick, no middies, a lot of non chalance.
