this guy isnt a c00n he speaks the truth. and i have no idea how people say hiphop is a culture its more a fad. most people move on to other forms of music when they hit like 25. ive been posting since forever and seen it with my real eyes and how many people here or IRL say hip hop sucks now....its we're just older now and smarter
Hip hop is only a fad if you're a casual fan. I hate when music elitists try to talk down on rap as if cats like Talib, Pac, or Lupe (admittedly a smart dumb nikka sometimes) couldn't go toe to toe in intellectual debates with artists from any other genre. For every Wocka Flocka Flame we have an Immortal Technique, but you know who doesn't want to hear Immortal Technique on the radio? The mainstream. Who comprises the mainstream? Mostly white people. Hip Hop is a culture, you're not too old OR smart for hip hop, you just were never that big of a fan

Eh, I'm not a fan of his either, maybe HE was a bad example, but I still stand by the fact that there is smart hip hop out there. If you were really a fan then you'd make an effort to find it

@ Ascended c00n. I'm stealing that one.On topic though, I was with him as far as hip-hop being universal... Then he started that racial apologist that I'm not really too keen on. It seems almost as if he's making black folks to be the aggressor or the one who make racial implications more than other groups... I dunno how to properly articulate at the moment so I'll fall back for now.

I think his point is that everyone should be able to love music and be able to create music no matter what genre or race you are.You guys have to remember that he is in the media and what he says will be used against him. So why say something negative that people will bash him for? It's safe to say that hip-hop is still majority appreciated/created by black people so it's not that serious ......although I get why y'all are calling him a c00n.
