I'm gonna come in, pop shyt & then roll

U can tell who played competitive sports and who didn't...you can also tell who understands the game & who doesn't

You gotta notice the trends and pay attn to the key details...so here are my key takeaways
  • Losing the coin toss hurt right off the bat
  • Before the fumble, the false start on Seumalo was huge...went from 3rd and short to 3rd & medium
    • Would've been a guaranteed conversion without the false start
  • It's hard to beat a good team in the playoffs when you give away free points
    • One turnover sounds fine except when the other team doesn't turn the ball over
    • That was a huge play and realistically kept KC in the game
  • Even being up 10 at halftime I was worried bc we didn't disrupt the KC offense
    • Our best defense was controlling the clock in the first half
    • Mahomes was comfortable all night
    • He was able to get to his 3rd read with ease all night
    • Pass rush was not getting there all night
    • Creed Humphrey shut down the inside pass rush
    • Reddikk, Sweat, Graham played their worst game of the season
  • Miles Sanders played horribly...but we still needed to run the ball more, esp w/ Gainwell & Scott
  • 11 second half points is not enough to beat a team as well coached as KC
    • We had better talent top to bottom but that wasn't displayed last night
  • Jonathan Gannon did not do a good job of mixing of blitzes, coverages, looks or anything
  • We didn't spy Mahomes all night, which is unfathomable, esp on 3rd downs
  • The hail mary attempt was pitiful
  • Hurts played a really good game, but we needed him to be mistake free
    • We needed him to compensate for a poor def effort
    • We needed him to win the big game
    • End result = another loss on the big stage

Unfortunately have to agree :mjcry:

Edit:

Hurts played magnificently though. I just knew if it turned into a shootout, we weren’t winning.

Tough loss, sucks my former Lions Slay and Suh didn't get the chip.

I question I have...what's the fanbase and Philly media mindset on the 10th pick? Do you guys do the obvious thing of taking whoever the best d lineman or CB is, or do you say fukk it and take Bijan Robinson? You put him behind that line and he'd be unstoppable, and Hurts would be unstoppable with that RPO option. It would be a wild thing to do which is why I doubt you pull the trigger but man...

The few first picks for the Eagles need to be linemen, linebackers and secondary. We need to grab some in FA too. They need fresh blood fast. Then they need to grab a running back. Pacheco was a late round pick so if we’re smart about it, we can find a serviceable guy to be a backup too. Sanders can go :camby: Then start drafting some o-linemen to find a steal that can replenish the ranks.

Bad clock mgmt was a big issue...didn't get to the line fast enough, play calls didn't come in fast enough, not enough audibles to Counter KC def looks

Did we throw 2-3 traditional screens against their blitzes?

Why didn't we run more double moves against their aggressive corners?

Why don't we run more traditional play action from under C on obv running downs?

Why were we in shotgun throwing on 3rd & short?

A game of what ifs

The Robert Quinn trade was a big fail

Now we gotta trade back in the 1st round to recoup that lost value

Offseason priorities

Re-sign CJ long-term
Re-sign Epps to a team friendly deal
Re-sign Kyrie White or sign an equivalent in FA
Let Cox, BG, Bradberry, Sanders and Edwards walk
Trade back pick #10 to 14-16 and draft Joey Porter Jr
Draft a space eating DL with the second first rounder (Bryan Bresee)
Draft a S in the 2nd round
Draft another DE in the 3rd round
Draft a sure handed power back to compliment Gainwell
Draft a punter late

Im done complaining. I’m just depressed about it :mjcry: It’s so hard to get back to the Super Bowl so IDK when we’ll get another shot or if we’ll get one.
Same & I hate how ppl saying we’ll be back..i watched BDawk IAA interview & he said how he assumed he’d be back in the bowl after 04 only to wait years to go back

This loss hurts cuz this might’ve been legit my fav Eagles team ever even moreso than the 17 team

I know Pacheco has been overachieving all season. but the level of disrespect he was running with didn't sit well with me :scust:

    • Reddikk, Sweat, Graham played their worst game of the season
I at least remember Reddikk getting out run by a 1 one legged Mahomes on the rare occasions an eagle was in the backfield, and the one play where Sweat jumped offsides but I don't remember Graham even being in the game

  • The hail mary attempt was pitiful
The arm strength criticism never resonated with me cause we probably had the best big play/deep ball offense in the league this year
But a hail mary falling short by like 20 yds had me like :picard:

that fumble was game deciding.
That and the false start that put Jalen in that position, I feel like you basically got to package those together. Caused a 14 pt swing. We were moving the ball pretty easily at that point still, we probably at least get 3.

They complained about it this morning on ESPN. Reddikk said it was the worst field he's ever played on. You don't know what you're talking about. Just blindly hating on a superbowl team while your team is and will always be ass
They won, yall lost

They still got the job done on the same field you are complaining about

I'm not even trying to contest cause I don't feel the field was the difference maker. It was a completely different field using a new grass that they decided to test on the superbowl out of all games
