I'm gonna come in, pop shyt & then roll
U can tell who played competitive sports and who didn't...you can also tell who understands the game & who doesn't
You gotta notice the trends and pay attn to the key details...so here are my key takeaways
- Losing the coin toss hurt right off the bat
- Before the fumble, the false start on Seumalo was huge...went from 3rd and short to 3rd & medium
- Would've been a guaranteed conversion without the false start
- It's hard to beat a good team in the playoffs when you give away free points
- One turnover sounds fine except when the other team doesn't turn the ball over
- That was a huge play and realistically kept KC in the game
- Even being up 10 at halftime I was worried bc we didn't disrupt the KC offense
- Our best defense was controlling the clock in the first half
- Mahomes was comfortable all night
- He was able to get to his 3rd read with ease all night
- Pass rush was not getting there all night
- Creed Humphrey shut down the inside pass rush
- Reddikk, Sweat, Graham played their worst game of the season
- Miles Sanders played horribly...but we still needed to run the ball more, esp w/ Gainwell & Scott
- 11 second half points is not enough to beat a team as well coached as KC
- We had better talent top to bottom but that wasn't displayed last night
- Jonathan Gannon did not do a good job of mixing of blitzes, coverages, looks or anything
- We didn't spy Mahomes all night, which is unfathomable, esp on 3rd downs
- The hail mary attempt was pitiful
- Hurts played a really good game, but we needed him to be mistake free
- We needed him to compensate for a poor def effort
- We needed him to win the big game
- End result = another loss on the big stage
Unfortunately have to agree
Edit:
Hurts played magnificently though. I just knew if it turned into a shootout, we weren’t winning.
