Nobody can. so how does that make key and peele less funny. When nobody has come in and straight up snatched the role Chappelle left behind?
Doesn't make them less funny. Just personally never thought they were all that funny in the first place. They had a few hit or miss sketches but for the most part I didn't find myself laughing out loud.

Which is fine. Because outside of CP show they were the biggest hit CC has ever had. So somebody was laughing.

This makes Dave look small IMO. Throw those rocks at Amy Schumer or somebody else. I don't really watch Key & Pelle, but the shows aren't that similar.

Be at peace with your decision muffaga
Exactly. Why attack the black men? Why not Schumer or Mencia or the countless other sketch shows. Are the successful black guys Easy targets?

Chappelle's show was the best social/racial satire ever, but people stopped laughing at the satire and started laughing at the racism. If he didn't quit, the show would have been ruined and become a bit corny lIke K&P. K&P is funmy, buy lacks that social justice/ether that DC delivered. Add Paul Mooney and Charlie Murphy in the mix and you had an amazing 2 and a half seasons of pure genius. Dave is the last of a dying breed. Real comics who change the world, and a black comic who transcended color while speaking on it. Only the greats do that. Pryor, Foxx, Murphy, Carlin. That absolute truth in jest. Today Luis CK maybe comes close, but Dave did it with a smirk the whole time. Classic.

Well said.

"No Ideas Original" :ahh:

Dave is showing a little bitterness here, and it's unnecessary. Not the best way to look at the situation, cause I don't think that Key & Peele would hesitate to acknowledge Dave as a trailblazer. And unlike many other trailblazers, Dave was in the position to reap all the benefits from his hard work before a new guy could come along to flip his style. He made his own decision to step off.

But then again, Rakim never really liked Nas, so I can't call it.

I would have never even compared the two. Not sure why Chapelle even considers them on that level.

K&P had some moments, but it wasnt Chapelle show tier nor a replacement. :yeshrug:

Cotdamn man, NOTHING can co-exist these days without their being a fukking problem :snoop:

Damn we still on this "divide" & "crab nicca" shyt in here?

Look both were funny and had some strengths and weaknesses.

But each ones strength was HIGH LEVEL.

Prime example..... Daves punchlines and catchphrases were on point. "I'm Rick Jamed bytch" will always get a laugh from anyone. But his acting sucked. You can tell either he couldn't commit or just never wanted to. He was "Denzeling" or "Will Smithing" his characters and most cases it just felt like "Dave Chappelle in a silly costume saying some jokes"

What K&P may have lacked in homerun punchlines they more than made up for with their superior acting and bringing the characters to life. Prime example is that Family Matter skit.... that was one of the funniest slots I've seen in years and the football one too cuz it's true. The can easily get lost in a character and for a moment you can easily forget you watch K&P and feel like you watching some funny shyt with some other people

This has been known & im glad Dave ain't silent about it anymore. Key & Peele is the safe, white friendly version of the Chappelle show. Shots fired. Get em Dave.

Chapelle's Show was safe and white-friendly though. How you think it ended up on Comedy Central?
