Naw Dave was doing that show and figured out white viewers were laughing at him not with him and it ate him up so he quit. It wasn't about selling out. He had white folks on his staff. His cowriter was white.

Dave did exactly what Kenan did when they tried to take over "In living Color". Kenan took his entire family off the show when Fox tried to take over and change it. So Dave saw what was going on and was smart enough to get out before he was trapped. They called him crazy for going to Africa (Look at that, A Black man going to Africa is crazy, lol) for turning down 50 Million but he came out on Top because "Chappelle show" DVD's are some of the most highest selling in History. Key and Peele are hit and miss and I don't hate on my brothas but it was a "Safe" version of Chappelle show.

I remember, those last few seasons weren't good but still had some gems. They do this to Black artist all the time. We create something amazing and some Executive thinks they know how to do it better. I mean just look at the evolution of Hip Hop and how it's been ruined by "Executives" who think they understand it so much.
