They could get him but Lakers are better off trying free agency than giving up assets for a player that might stay healthy for the playoffs.

LA's not thinking about it and can't say yes fast enough, they'll fill out the rest with ring chasers like they were going to anyway. Derrick's history can be accounted for.
All 3 (Kuzma, Cook, pick) have to either be not re-signed or traded if they want 2021 cap space like they do. So they're moving anyway, it's a matter of for what. And it's not a bad trade, more realistic than CP3 or Beal I'm seeing.
