I haven't had a chance to listen yet but I really liked acid rap, but I've Seen alotta people say this so far and it's putting me off...like of course Imma listen and form an opinion for myself but it really sounds like this won't be for me either

If you like Acid Rap you should like this. I don't even believe in religion and I'd say it's easily his best work :manny:

He didn't just blow up. After his first mixtape dropped he didn't have much buzz but Childish Gambino took him on tour while he was working on Acid Rap. Bino's manager was working with him and got him connected to TDE, Bronson, and other artists they did shows with. He didn't even have a team until well after the 2nd mixtape. He hired a great management team. You don't need a label for that.

People don't know what to make of him because he actually figured out how to navigate the industry without a major. He just pays out of pocket for videos/recording and eats off touring and merch.

As for paying features, most of them probably did it for free or an exchange where he'll do a verse for them.

His dad's a campaign manager. He has no pull in the music biz.
He was also paid 100k or something for his feat in justin biebers confident song.
