I like it but his story always felt fishy to me. :leostare:
Like he just blew up and got all this praise which happens but then I found out his dad is some government official (or something) and thinks started to click a bit. And he's independent. How the hell he get Wayne, Bieber, T-Pain and 2 Chainz on this? These can't be favors. How's he paying these guys?:wtb:

His voice is still annoying at times. He went Jayceon on some of the features, mimicking the featured artist flow but he did his service. None of the tracks are necessarily bad :patrice:but All Night doesn't fit and I don't like D.R.A.M.

And how long he been with Apple? How is this an exclusive free download? :oprahhmm:

But the album is dope, so I'mma keep listening.
he didn't just blow up out of no where dog. I went to see Chance in concert when he was an opener for fukking CAC miller. I paid fukking MONEY for a cac miller show just to see Chance. People liked his music and recognized his talent, even on his first mixtape 10 day. When you're musically gifted and create good music it doesn't take long for people to catch on. Dude is just talented as fukk and works hard at it. I love this album and I've been fukking with Chance since the beginning, dude deserves the success and recognition he receives.

"I was lost in the jungle like Simba after the death of Mufasa
No hog, no meerkat, hakuna matata by day
But I spent my night time fighting tears back
I prayed and prayed and left messages but never got no hear back
Or so it seemed
A mustard seed was all I needed to sow a dream
I build the ark, gently, gently, I rolled my boat down Noah's stream
Sometimes the path I took to reach my petty goals was so extreme
I was so far down in the mud couldn't even let my light shine
But she was always there when I needed to phone a friend or use a life line
From a lofty height, wage won
The poltergeist to exalt the Christ
Spark the dark with the pulse of light
Strike a corpse with a pulse of life
I spit on the Tidal of tidal waves
I spit on the Apple and kill a worm
A fire in Cali will swallow a valley for every African village burned
Jay Elect would've never made it
'O son of man, O' son of man
Who was the angel in Revelations with the foot on water and the foot on land
Who was the angel that rode a Harley from the project to the house of Parliament
And opened the book in the Devil's chamber and put the true name of the Lord in it
Old Jerusalem, New Jerusalem
Cuff lights these beats with a ball of fire
Poison the scripture and gave us the pictures of false messiahs
It was all a lie
Mystery babylon, tumbling down
Satan's establishment crumbling down
This is the year that I come for the crown
Bury my enemies under the ground"

I had to sit with this one just like Acid Rap. Chance did it again. This mixtape is awesome. Chance is definitely an acquired taste and not for the casual hip hop fan. Something about his music just makes you feel good idk what it is.

Juke jam is that cut :ohlawd:

It irks me some people seem to think Chance is less of a valid voice in black music because he had a good parent who worked hard to provide and is a positive black man. Hip Hop fans will prefer if you made your way to studio time through drug money :scust:

Got a black artist out here doing positive things and it's all "he's a plant... his father did government work... he knows Obama" :why:

This is a dude passionate about music and loves his city and his people

Salute this young black man 8 Times Chance The Rapper Gave Back to Chicago - XXL :martin:

How this nikka making money?

He not touring like that and I don't see him with major endorsement deals
He is touring like that. He drops music in the spring and does tours in the fall + a few festivals during the summer like every year.
He might not be Khalifa doing 100 shows a year, but he does 30-40 shows per year. And he does not drive Ferraris and shyt.

comes from a rich family i think
Yes the son of a political aide to a senator and later deputy chief of staff to a mayor in Chicago is rich. I don't know what rich means to people on here, 150k for a 50 year old?.
