For real, I was constantly surprised at how nicely written the story beats, lore and characters werestory had no reason to be that good front to back
And it lowkey feels like there was more to be said
Now I'm left wanting more
maybe a sequel?Loving this so far almost 20 hours in, just got the airship.
The soundtrack annd traversal isn’t Sea of Stars good but it holds its own.
Combat/Character progression/Story blow it out of the water though and I thought SOS was dope in its own right

This needs some type of sequel. You can tell how much care was put into this game. Same thing with Sea of Stars.
I feel timing of the game release really did them no favours. I feel releasing in December and not getting GOTY and game award stimulus hurt them. Like this game easily could've taken the award that Sea of Stars was winning imo, but most people don't pay attention to games released in DecemberGlad more people are coming around on this game. Just beat it earlier today, overall great experience. The ending was a little convenient for one of the characters but this was a masterclass in storytelling.
Definitely a must play for anyone who was a fan of the traditional turn based JRPGs from way back.
Prob gonna be on to Octopath Traveler now.
