I hated when Hollywood miscasts people due to celeb status
They didn't cast Boseman because of his "Celeb status" dude isn't even that big of a star. They cast him because he's a great actor that's been killing it in Biopics as of late.

No they cast him due to his popularity. And he is in fact a big star. Not sure why you would think otherwise.
Chadwick Boseman is not that big of a star. He's just barely breaking into the mainstream (mostly because of the Marvel stuff). He hasn't shown he can draw in audiences just because he's in a movie and a lot of people still don't even know who he is.
Michael B Jordan is actually a bigger star than Chadwick Boseman.
of all the examples you use Michael B. Jordan?
the dude who is playing a supporting role in Chadwicks Movie?
Why isn't Michael image as big as chadwicks in this poster?
Don't tell me it's due to top billing because this poster from the same franchise proves that wrong.
Lupita is a bigger star than both? She should be. That's one of things in Hollywood that I complain about. She should be a bigger star than both but isn't.Yes, Boseman is larger on the posters because he's the lead character. Luptia Nyong'o is bigger star than both of them and she doesn't have a huge presence on any of the posters either.
And don't like like Robert Downey Junior as Iron Man in another characters movie is the same as another actor playing the villain in a character debut solo film.
No matter how you try to spin it Boseman isn't that big of star yet. People aren't going to see movies just because he's in them and his box office track record isn't very strong outside of his appearance in Captain America Civil War.

She's easily a bigger star than both of them. She doesn't have a track record of opening films, but that's because she hasn't really been the lead in anything. Even taking that into consideration she's a bigger star because she's been in bigger movies than both of them, she has an Oscar, and she's regularly on magazine covers. The average person knows who she is when they see a picture of her or someone mentions her name.
Michael B Jordan is is a tier below Luptia, mostly because he was in Chronicle then Creed and before that he had roles on critically acclaimed television shows (The Wire, Friday Night Lights, Parenthood).
Boseman was a virtual unknown when he got the lead role in 42, and they made it a point to cast Harrison Ford as the co-lead. Boseman was the lead in Get On Up, but hardly anybody saw that movie, then he had a small part in that Gods of Egypt movie, but again hardly anybody saw that. The biggest movie Boseman has been in was Captain America Civil War and while he was great in that his role wasn't huge. He doesn't have enough of a resume to be considered a big star. He's just now getting mainstream awareness because of his involvement in Black Panther.
Marshall being biracial is a big deal. Smh
RIGHT.
