Killmonger wasn't wrong but he was also an extremist who is willing to go hard on ANYONE. He has more of a desire to accomplish something out of spite than do something helpful out of compassion. He wants to overthrow the white oppressors, but at the same time doesn't really care about black lives if they create an inconvenience for his agenda. Shot his girlfriend to grab Klaw and choked out an old lady for not burning the herbs right away. Would have killed T'Challa's mother and sister if they didn't get away. I feel like a lot of "conscious" black leaders have this same problem, where they like the idea of overthrowing white society but they also treat black people as accessories.

Ultimately, that's what makes Killmonger the villain for me. He had the right idea, but was doing it the wrong and far too ruthless to be justifiable leader.
Do you know what acceptable losses are? And :mjlol: of course he was an extremist but you've been conditioned to believe that means something.

I'm coming to understand Killmonger as a manifestation of the evil done to his people.

Eye for an eye.

He wanted to go so hard because the colonizers went that hard. If you think he's going to far, now you understand how black folk look at their oppressors.
He is a manifestation of evil done to his people but it does beg the question, do you love your people more than you hate your oppressors?

A lot of black people hate white people more than they love their black community or their blackness.

The more I think about it, the more I think Okoye and the Dora Milaje DID commit treason and rebelled against the King. TChalla never officially yeilded, HOWEVER Killmonger didn’t grant request for a rematch, but technically the fight was still on because: TChalla didn’t die, and TChalla never officially yield. You can say that Forest yeilded for him, but that’s not still an official yeild.

But Killmonger was still declared King. Killmonger never granted a request for a rematch. Okoye rebelled because she thought she that he wasn’t the right fit for king, saying “your heart is evil” or something like that. It’s not in her right to decide whose king or not. Eric won fair and square. There was a technicality but he was still declared king.

THANK YOU
:salute:

Its funny how no one brings up how nakida committed an act permissible by death by stealing a heart shaped herb and going to an outlaw tribe and offering m'baku the herb because in her own words "soemone who is not fit to be king is on the throne"

Killmonger won fair and square yet treason is being committed and hes the bad guy

I agree

That's why I love that T'Challa developed to understand his point and Killmonger didn't die as much as who he needed to be lived in T'Challa

The movie is so dope because it's too deep to try to get it looking for a "good guy" and "bad guy"

This reminds me of when Obama took over after Bush..

When Bush was in office, nikkas didn't care about protocol in the W.H..

As soon as Obama got in, now nikkas saying "respect the office".. :mjlol:

When your favorite is in, its cool. Otherwise its :camby:

It’s like you didn’t even pay attention to the movie. The whole lesson was that the wakandans were wrong in that c00n ass mentality. Did you fall asleep when T’Challa cursed his father out and renounced his world view and all the c00n principles that you’re defending? Even in the movie T’Challa admitted that kilmonger was right. Now here we have the real life actor who played T’Challa In the movie acknowledging that kilmonger was the real hero, yet you’re still here defending the wakoondans. Amazing.

EVERYONE?

HE WAS SENDING THE WEAPONS TO THE WAKANDANS
THEY HAD BASED IN OTHER COUNTRIES...

SO THEY COULD TAKE OVER THOSE COUNTRIES.

And then what ? Occupy them or hold them. In the long run you cannot hold countries that you are not native too without facing prohibitive financial costs of sustaining such a strategy. Even the Brits wound up with their treasury financing hundreds of wars and lost their global position to the US before WW2.
