Yep. It's a very bad look, but you can only get better at these things with practice. If you go out there 51 weeks out of the year with scripted promos and you're not naturally a talker or charismatic, you're going to look like shyt the one time you have to go off the cuff under pressure because you haven't been exercising that skill.

All this does is expose the E's hotshot to the top mentality. The real benefit of the old school grind was guys got to hone their characters, contribute somewhat to their promos which in turn built up their skills. It made guys look like a million bucks when they were finally ready for the limelight.

WWE has no patience wiwith this shyt. When they see somebody they deem as the next big start they just shoot them straight to the main event when they're not ready. All of the other greats had to through the mid-card, have IC/US Title reigns and shyt like that, while Roman just got tossed in.

SMH @ people in here giddy about Cena doing the same shyt he does to alot of other stars. He's gets the ultimate green light against a guy like Roman that knows he still suffers consequences and can't really afford to be shooting strays at people. Cena just did another pipebomb, meaning he rattled off all the shyt people know already like he was saying something new. LMAO @ I used the US title to bring in AJ Styles and Kevin Owen. That promo was fukking stupid. That's the kind of promo people shyt on Vince Russo for. shyt made absolutely no sense and is a terrible way to build to a fake wrestling match. The whole thing almost felt like a punishment to Roman. Obviously Cena was going to eat him alive even in a normal promo, but to do the worked shoot shyt and outright shyt on Roman for failing to be the guy the company wants him to be (and also randomly taking a shot at Taker), talking about heel turns and 4th walls....shyt is silly. "You can't bury me, John."

This is how you get an angle where Goldberg refuses to take Kevin Nash's powerbomb and forces Nash/Steiner to call a match on the fly much to the kudos of the announcers. There's no benefit to a promo like that. Roman can squash Cena in 40 seconds and Cena already won.

This, this, this. There was nothing good about Cena's promo. Just terrible "shoot" shyt for the smarks to feel special. No, Roman isn't a particularly good promo and he probably never will be, but this worked shoot shyt is the worst of all angles possible.

Not saying he wasn't. But long term it didn't work because of their ineptitude to strike when the iron was hot and capitalize on his popularity at the right time OR pivot when the time had passed and salvage the guy. It's eerily similar with Reigns.

Yes. If they had just kept going full steam ahead and had Roman beat Brock at WM 31, I bet this whole thing would have mostly blown over by now. Or at least been more 50/50 instead of 80/20. Fans would have been forced to accept it sooner and therefore been able to get over it. Instead, they let it drag out for another year.

Theres a handful of guys wit charisma. None of them are natural maybe thats why the shyt is so trash. Its all robotic the whole show is robotic
