Above the fray.
Me and my cuz talked about this back in the day
There is such a thing as being too fine for Hollywood
Nobody wants to give you serious roles, just eye candy
Female film executives and other female actresses will hate on you and male execs will go to extreme lengths to fukk.
If rejected, some psycho exec will blackball the shyt out of a chick
If an actress is Black and fine as hell, she wont get prime roles because they always want to make white hoes appear the most desirable
I can agree with some of this, especially the last sentence.

I'd say Kenya Moore has gotten the most out of being great looking.
I was the dude that always thought Leigh was badder than Hav. She's (Robinne Lee) another one who only had marginal success.

I remember watching the movie thinking....the new (unknown) actresses are as good looking or better than ANY female celeb. where did the director find them?

can't go wrong with either of them..Chenoa had such a striking look though

Vanity..what a delicious girl who ended up a waste

Her relationship with Nikki "Motley Crue" Sixx did neither of them any favors.

Heather Locklear

Here, I have to disagree. I mean, she had a few reasonably successful television shows; if anything, she overachieved, given her rampant drug habit and poor judgement (like Vanity, she hooked up with another member of Motley Crue). She was one of those actresses like Farrah Fawcett whose good looks and middling acting talent were especially tailored for television.

I was thinking about this person the other day. :shaq:

lauren london

She is sooooo pretty brehs. :noah:

I am surprised she is not working more. How the fukk is Halle Berry even getting booked for movies?
None of her movies are even successful, they are some straight to video bullshyts.

I used to watch LOST and I thought this cac would become a major star.
Matthew fox

He hasn't booked anything since 2015. He was like some Tyler Perry movie and he wasn't even a major character. lol
He might have a drinking problem though. :ld:

This is accurate, but it goes beyond backstage politics and issues, I think. The problem with an actress being too beautiful is that they alienate a huge portion of the audience. Most women aren't going to empathize with some hugely attractive female character on screen; they simply aren't going to relate. Also, after a while, most men are going to get tired of the looks; this is the same principle which drives the huge turnover in porn actresses.

There are three categories of actresses: one, the fine category, as you mentioned. Like porn actresses, they tend to burn out really quickly i.e. no one's seeing any Angelina Jolie movies nowadays. Two, the plain/overweight actresses. If they're lucky, they can carve out a career in character work e.g. CCH Pounder, Margo Martindale, Kathy Bates. Three is the sweet spot, the attractive/cute enough to be above-average looks wise and relatable, yet not attractive enough to be threatening i.e. Meryl Streep, Sandra Bullock, Viola Davis. .
