So your argument is kids pick on each other:unimpressed:

If you are from the south, and go to school up North, the north kids will codify in picking on the south kid.

You said it best:

This is less about targeting African kids, and more about kids picking easy targets:unimpressed:

You are correct.

Saw this a couple of nights ago after watching The Neighborhood (with Cedric & Tichina).

This particular scene in the show instantly made me pause and think for a second, the "jungle" term is something usually white people say in regards to black/African people being animals living in the "jungle" .

What I get from the show is that the directors/writers subconsciously have something against Black Americans...

For example this whole scene which not only tries to portray Black American as racist (something white people forcibly try to convince others) but also making it seem as if the Nigerian woman's son is naturally more mentally & intelligently ahead than the black woman's son, which Abishola points out.

So let's not act like that scene was only picking on Nigerians when it also was undermining Black Americans intelligence.

Once again I am not quite sure how or why any Black person is defending this shyt, when that script was clearly disrespectful to Black women. :patrice:

You same fools claim it is wrong when Black male rappers disrespect Black women, but I guess in your World it is okay when 3 White male writers and a c00n Black woman disrespects Black women.
Cool, so you gon get mad at all instance of Black women "disrespected" on TV or is this just a special case?

I don't watch anything that disrespect Black people. I stopped watching the NFL over a decade ago, because of the blatant disrespect that they have for Black players. I also don't go places or spend my money in places where they disrespect Black people.

Three White men and a Black c00n woman wrote a script where they called an African woman a jungle bytch, which is literally a reference to her being "wild" or "akata." They cloaked that stupid shyt in the script as a dispute between an African American and an African immigrant and your crazy ass can not see what they are attempting to do?

Your question does not make sense. Do you not understand the racial history of referring to Black women as being from the jungle?

Yes, I understand the racial history of referring to black women as being from the jungle. The term implies that we are uncivilized and primitive. However, the same can be said for "African booty scratcher". If you disagree then what do you think it implies?

Also, it's strange that you tried to conflate "akata" with "jungle insert word". One is a word that was used to describe Nigerian Americans who had left their homeland and actually had (and still has in some spaces) a positive meaning while the other is a racial slur.

African booty scratcher= African who may or may not have been caught scratching their booty. Oohh man the insult:martin:

But being called a jungle bytch? That's just a straight racist insult:mjtf:

It's quite obvious that the term derives from one of of those racist NatGeo documentaries depicting Africans as hut dwellers, doing nothing but scratching their arses all day.

You don't understand the implication of that phrase? White men used that term to justify raping and brutalizing Black women. That is the sexual fetish angle behind that shyt. Do you not understand American history? You never saw them dressing up black actresses like Josephine Baker, Lena Horne and Eartha Kitt in those so called "jungle outfits"? You never heard of "jungle fever"? Don't you get what what they are saying? That is some White boy sexual fetish shyt referring to Black women as jungle bytches. Again I have to say that I am surprised as Hell to be seeing "so called" Black people justifying this stupid shyt; which makes me realize that the rumors about thecoli having White posters pretending to be Black people is actually true.
