My pleasure bro. I'ma drop one more track off. It is a song that my Igbo parents would listen to considering the instrumental and content. Might be too far out for you.
But you also may like it if you are into horns and drums and praise music.
Uplifting vibe
music like this & the old type gospel make you feel like you can get through anything! Appreciate it
Off topic, but I was listening to Tariq Nasheed's recent podcast, and I think he is going down a dangerous path. He was basically blaming black foreigners for the negative things in the ADOS community! Some of the shyt he said was way off!
One thing he said that was way off was that twerking came from the islands from Miami to Atlanta. Whatever, but he said west indians were easy to connect o New Orleans because of the French, but that was in the 1700's. After that aint no Haitians were going to N.O. like that. Twerking, and shaking ass like that is a recent thing because America was so prudish before the 70's & 80's, but after the sexual revolution, and especially cocaine use, sexuality became more expressed. I used to be down south in the late 80's as a little kid grinding on chicks, or was doing the sandwhich with two chicks, at parties and there were NO west indians around. Plus, I grew up with people from the WHOLE Caribbean, and Haitians weren't doing all that sexy dancing. You can tell he just lumps all west indians together, but even Jamaica wasn't really on the sexual vibe before the 80's. Trinidadians had the openness about their bodies, especially during carnival, and I think it stretched out over time.
He even said all the weed smoking came from west indians
Man, i grew up in Brooklyn, and both ADOS & West indians stayed lit. My uncle used to roll in front of me when he would watch me. I smelled it all over Brooklyn in the 80's before they started clamping down. I loved the smell as a child because of it. Tariq is lost on recent history. he may know what was in Books, or in LA/down south but not up north history. I just don't like how he just made the shyt up like it was facts
I can't rock too tough with Tariq after this one, you can't just make up shyt to blame others for our faults. That makes us no different then white supremacist! He still has some good about him, but he lost a lot of points with this one!
