I’m not sure how a comparison is made with a singular event in 2018 and a series of events between 1993-2000. Unless you want to add in the entire ‘being the elite’ run from the past couple of years.

I'm referring to the ECW movement to this current generation young bucks/Cody/Omega Indie movement going on now

Nationally, ECW averaged 70-75,000 PPV buys in 1999 at their nationwide peak. This is with ECW having been advertised on Monday Night Raw in the past, and having numerous members of their 1999 roster with WWF/WCW exposure.

nice try...they were on Raw ONCE as a "brand" versus Cody being a full time WWE member for many years and having that recognition and ECW having their talent poached and raided by WCW/WWF isn't exactly "exposure"

1999 is in the middle of the attitude era which caused a significant wrestling fan spike. ECW on TNN aired. Their largest crowd was 6,000 for anarchy rulz 1999, and largest gate was $208,000.

they ran several big shows versus one GIANT super mark show....like someone mentioned a few post above this one, if they only had ONE show, ECW at its peak would of outdrew all-in handidly...

Cody vs Kenny Omega drew 6,100 people in April. ROH does have weekly television in many markets and NJPW on AXS exists but far weaker than TNN. All In takes place in a landscape where WWE has been a monopoly for 17 years. TNA had many of the biggest names in history, lost $100 million over 15 years and died. All In is mostly promoted by Being The Elite YouTube show and internet word of mouth. All In drew 11,263 and drew a gate of $458,525. All In did 20,000 iPPV ALONE, not accounting for traditional PPV, and honor club/new japan world subs. Madison Square Garden sold out for an April show. If ECW could have sold out MSG, theyd have done it. I think the answer is clear if youre referring to "impressive".

again, ECW at the height of WWE/WCW war with both of those promotions getting record ratings (mostly by stealing ECW talent and ideas) was still able to manage to go from some local bingo hall in the philadelphia slums drawing some few 100 people PHilly crowds, being aired at 2am on saturday nights was able to build such a buzz that WWE showcased them on one episode of raw, from there they took that momentum and by 1999 were a legit third brand on national television ..... do you realize how amazing that is.... that would be like evolve or some sh*t today having a national tv deal, getting a video game and turning into a legit major brand....

again if ECW only had one major show they would easily surpass all-in , what they were able to do for how small they were is 1000x more impressive

“Fake Heat” for Ciampa is my favourite term :mjlol: There’s truth to it though :mjpls:

Was I lying? :sas2:

The fake heat he had was maybe the most pathetic thing I’d ever seen in play fighting, now he’s back to getting 50/50 chants like every other midget when he’s supposed to be the “devil”, guess the marks were tired of fake booing :mjlol:

Yup...his heat felt like marks pretending to have old school territory heat versus the real thing....honestly, the last real heat was Jinder or Roman after beating taker
