Having a backbone isn't predicated on how belligerent you're, it is about looking at the bigger picture and knowing there's a place and time for everything.
Let's use Nate Parker's case as a case study. The victim was a white woman and he wasn't convicted for rape. However, how come black women decided to make it about them and allow themselves to be used by other people to mess up the man's career and a great movie about a black hero? If it were reversed and Nate Parker was a white guy, the victim was a black woman, and the movie was about was about how the Spartans saved Europe from the Persians and the turning point in European history - would white women have acted the way black feminists did?
