I've seen posts all night about Casey Affleck on Tumblr and Twitter.
In fact, just search his name on either of those sites and you'll see them.
Eh. Y'all only see what, you like :yeshrug:

:rudy:
You really bout to sit here and act like the outcry is on the same magnitude?

Of course there are some that are calling out Casey but it's no comparison.

This. I'm still waiting for the mainstream Hollywood media outlets like THR, Variety, EW, & etc. to run the same smear campaign that they ran against Nate Parker against Casey Affleck. I don't see the media interviewing Affleck's accusers and digging up court/legal documents.

"Due to Affleck's increased public profile following the success of Manchester by the Sea, the lawsuits were the subject of renewed focus in late 2016 and early 2017 and were discussed in media outlets including MTV,[176] The New York Times,[177] The Atlantic,[178] The Guardian,[179] Mashable,[180] The Daily Beast,[181] New York magazine,[182] Slate,[183]Buzzfeed,[184] ThinkProgress,[185] Film School Rejects,[186] Bust,[187] Mic,[188] The Hollywood Reporter,[189] Indiewire[190] and The New Yorker.[191] Affleck addressed the allegations in two 2016 interviews.[61] Speaking to the The New York Times, he stated: "It was settled to the satisfaction of all. I was hurt and upset — I am sure all were — but I am over it. It was an unfortunate situation — mostly for the innocent bystanders of the families of those involved."[192]"

There was also major coverage the year it happened.
The difference is that Affleck's victims didn't commit suicide, they sued him and won substantial sums of money, and Casey Affleck didn't make a historically Black film and insert a historically inaccurate rape scene.
I didn't even know who Casey Affleck was until I heard about the sexual harassment charges :mjlol:
Also, you're moving goalposts.

:francis:"Moonlight" won Best Picture, so they're gonna forget all about it

"Moonlight" had a homosexual protagonist :wrist: . These black feminists will never give respect to heterosexual black men, whether it's Nat Turner of 200 years ago, to Nate Parker of today. If you don't give into the agenda, they believe that you don't deserve to exist.

There was no major coverage the year iCasey Affleck's incident happened. Stop it.

The difference is they only started to 'attack' Casey Affleck towards his awards run where as Nate Parker/BOTN was attacked months before and AFTER his movie was released. The numerous publications were even going as far to try to discredit/clown the box offce numbers for Birth Of A Nation when it was released nationally... and it wasn't just Hollywood publications... 'hip urban' publications like Complex were chiming in on it as well..

The real question is... How the hell do you know who Nate Parker is before you know who Casey Affleck is? You don't know who Ben Affleck is either, right?

Ofcourse there's a double standard..anyone denying it is an obvious idiot or troll or whatever.
Bill Cosby is a perfect example. Digging up old women from the 60s wheras affeck was abusing women recently
