Durant has definitely accomplished more than Melo. He's already got more all NBA first team selections, scoring titles, and an all star game MVP.
Also Wade has accomplished more as an individual player than Melo has.

It seems downright bizarre that he's just got his first scoring title.
Pretty sure anyone who's name wasn't Tim Duncan or Kobe Bryant didn't have success in the playoffs in regard to Carmelo. Lebron had nothing to do with it until last year.

His teams have been flawed at cept for two. Look at his squad this year, that whole knicks squad was one dimensional. Melo never had the luxary of playing with tow many two way players that play on both sides of the court so why should we criticize him for being that way.
At least the one thing he does, he really excels at and doesnt take nights off from.
Look at the currents finals. The heat just had their first 20 point scorer in the whole finals and its more than half way over. Talk about a letdown.

And Melo is a guy that is consistently credited as being on of the top 2 or 3 scorers in the league yet until this season he'd never held the scoring title. It's not like he was trying to be more of a playmaker for his team or expending energy on the defensive end of the court.

He was the number 3 overall draft pick, is constantly referred to as a "Superstar" and franchise players, and you constantly got people bytching about him not being considered a top ten player. THAT's why he should get criticized for being a one way player.
Durant was criticized for the same thing his first few years in the league, but actually started improving defensive so that particular criticism has faded significantly.
I'm also not sure why you brought up his team when I've already said multiple times as a individual player he hasn't accomplished nearly as much as was expected of him....A full decade in the league and he aint got ONE all NBA first team selection? Meanwhile a dude who's been in the league nearly half the amount of time has already made the cut 4 times.

You might wanna check the stats for 08 and 09. Melo was pretty efficient in the playoffs those years. In 08-09 he actually got better in the playoffs same with 09 10.
