Sex being a spectrum or complicated science is not what we dealing with. We dealing with people that aint scientists picking and choosing they sex or gender whenever they feel like it as if they creating a character in a game. Im going to mind my own business but if somebody ask me im going to say a woman is a woman too.

The media and celebrities running game on the common folks
Celebrity lacking buzz makes a statement that'll be perceived as inflammatory, traditional media blows up or manufactures a controversy in tandem with social media, celebrity gets more attention than it had in years and gets away with a textbook apology
Everybody gets clicks and attention, and hopefully some money
Counter cancel culture heads on the internet pick up the scraps to rant about it for the 10000th time and hopefully get some clicks out of it too

At this point it doesn't even matter that what buddy said is actually true, it's just a political and capitalistic piece of theater

So still, the anecdote that “if you put 50 men and 50 women on an island you will have a community in 100 years, but if your put 50 men and 50 trans on an island you will have the bones of 100 men left over.” Still seems like common sense to me…
