Once THAT happens, police are on CYA time. More eyes on it = they gon do it right.

The reason for the press conference and why they put her on blast—-without explicitly saying she lying—-is 1) Again, CYA. They don’t want anyone actually thinking they’re ignoring some lost baby or some abducters on the run, yet 2) They’re not gonna explicitly SAY she’s lying bc they’re playing it safe politically. They know that ‘woke’ culture is nonsensical. So you can’t be a white police force and call out a BW for lying, even when she’s lying

Any time police quickly closes an investigation or keeps quiet, it’s a good chance theres some bad info on the victim. Ie If you see a young person ‘passed away’ with no details, it’s a goos chance drugs or suicide. Or Mercedes Morr for example. That case was closed immediately. Do you know how police investigations work? They’re not going to continue to follow a story unless there’s some reason to pursue additional criminal or civil penalties against an individual. He stalked her, wrote rambling letters about her, and was queued into all of her social media.

If he’s dead, and there’s no lead pointing to conspiracy or secondary individuals - then there’s no basis for them to keep investigating.

It sounds like you want a journalist, or a disclosure of information following a civil suit - to garner additional information. Which is fine. But it’s not coming out of a dead-end criminal investigation where both the victim and the perpetrator are deceased.
