i don't know shyt about the comics, but how would that make sense? also, seems way too obvious. so this dude Fury has been an alien in disguise the whole time infiltrating Shield to start the Avengers Initiative and... what was his end game? sniff out all the heroes and have them die defending Earth?

There is no 'shifty' Avenger whose motives are suspect. So looking at past movies really isn't going to help.

Secret Invasion will take place during the next phase after earth has been weakened in the fallout of Infinity War. Slow infiltration following their defeat before at the hands of Captain Marvel in this film.
