Depends. More Scarlet Witch (big presence on teams) than Cap Marvel/WW (own franchise).

Disney/Marvel almost always assigned black/brown best friends for their white characters, even if that meant race-bending. But now that 1) there's a demand for more black, brown, and female characters in prominent /non-bullshyt roles, and 2) black and brown women are glaringly the least represented demographic... Monica is in a good spot. Her and Kamala Khan.

With the fox deal, i've gone on record in saying they're going to make Storm the leader and major leg if not face of the x-franchise, esp in this post-Okoye/Shuri/Nakia world.

She's Monica's mother, not Monica herself. She's a minor character whose only purpose in this movie is to let fans know that Monica will exist in the MCU. Mission accomplished.
