Exactly. If breh made 111 posts in a thread about a movie he ain’t even gonna see, that’s the most triggered I have seen someone about a superhero movie.
Dude is in the hall of shame for a reason. He is a joke in most all other forums he post I guess he is trying his luck over here now.

He's right that her powers are on another level, and it looks like she'd spank Thanos (I don't think she will, though). That being said, shouldn't there be room for heroes on that level in the MCU? Heroes like Silver Surfer and Gladiator...The people who can shoot the fair one with Kang? Cosmic heroes, cosmic villains....

Not sure it needs to be spoiled, but yeah...:yeshrug:

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:

Dude's arguments are fukking stupid

{spoiler] The title First Avenger has nothing to do with Nick Fury being inspired to name the project "The Avengers Initiative". Furthermore, Captain Marvel wasn't a fukking Avenger :snoop:

And as far as powers go.. in the comics, it is what it is. Technically the only Avenger that could run her a fade is Thor. Captain America sure as hell can't. [\spoiler]

THis nikka is basically complaining about Captain Marvel being Captain Marvel. Mad at her powers :russ: Like really?

He's comparing CM to the current Avengers, like Hawkeye, Captain America, Iron Man. He's basically saying they all have a bunch of movies out and have been in the game for 10 years so nobody should be able to come in a be more powerful than them. And the fact that it's a woman makes it even worse.

But Feige has been saying for over a YEAR that Captain Marvel would be the most power Avenger. He's said it multiple times. People knew this going in (or should have known), but now its a problem? Really? :dahell:

Just finally saw the movie myself with the fam. Overall, solid movie. Hardly the stinker that some folks that have or haven't seen it want to make it out to be, but nothing too crazy hype either. I had very little complaints about most people's acting in the movie, including Brie Larson's, cuz both how Carol is in the books and the context of her story in this movie, the acting seemed apropos for it. It wasn't outstanding or anything, but hardly terrible either. One noticeable grip that I heard folks in here saying before the movie that I agree with was her running animation was odd looking tho, lol! Everyone's acting was pretty solid tho, with standouts being Ben Mendelsohn and Lashana Lynch (to which I like that they gave her a moment to shine and had a bit more than I thought she may have had in the movie). Also, as stated, the chemistry between Brie and Sam and Lynch was pretty good IMO. Action-wise and story was rather standard fare, nothing too eye-brow raising, but nothing really scoff-worthy either. Both have room for improvement, but I wasn't really displeased either and felt entertained enough on both segments for the duration of the movie. Overall I rate it a good 7.5-8/10 IMO. Not the greatest MCU flick ever, but don't think it's the worse either (albeit, I could be in the minority here that actually enjoys all of the MCU films enough for rewatches). Definitely better than Aquaman, outside of Aquaman's action (which @Bryan Danielson actually made an interesting point about value of action in these movies, cuz sure enough, some of the ones with the greatest action are still very meh movies overall). My family seemed to agree on that sentiment as well, since everyone left Aquaman a bit disappointed and that didn't seem to be the case here.

Also, didn't appreciate that heavy amount of spoilers that some of ya'll muhfukkas left in here. Like, why haven't more folks been at least warned about it from mods round here. This site and the net in general is too far gone for ya'll still to be acting ignorant on the time and place of spoilers and how to properly make a spoiler tag.

Spoiler territory:

Anyways, one thing that wasn't spoiled to me here or otherwise, that I did have gripe with in the story was that regarding
I can't believe they ultimately pegged them as essentially "good" guys. Like...I was expecting a turn around at some point to show that they were actually still as villainous or more than the Kree, but it made them seem pretty much just sympathetic..too much really, which is the only thing really off to me comic-book wise. I'm like...these muh-fukkas tried to invade Wakanda in the books. I'm all for them giving them more depth, having meaningful relationships among each other and not having them seem to just be pure evil for the sake of evil's sake, but I've never recalled them ever being even slightly portrayed in a good like manner in any comics/cartoons that they were involved in. If anything, they could've even alluded to them having some sinister, ulterior motives that Carol doesn't even find out about in this film. Probably the only biggest letdown of the movie IMO

I noticed some folks complaints was that it felt like a phase 1 MCU movie in a phase 3 era, but that shyt didn't bother me in the slightest, cuz chronologically, it takes place in phase 1 era.

Why not? Because from what I've seen, some of the same things folks were crushing MoS for, they're praising CM for.

Because it keeps everyone honest and not be in a situation where later they become hypocrites with the pivoting.

Just like a lot of the things praised about Aquaman, Marvel been getting crushed for, for 10 years.

A lot of times with these film it’s just not gonna be a simple “Black or White” deal

Beta males stay talking and they want me to stop hurting a film they love so much...:russ:
Worldwide, the Anna Boden & Ryan Fleck-directed film has grossed a gargantuan $455 million ($153M domestic; $302M foreign) in three days, which is the second-largest opening for a superhero film ever, behind only Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War ($640.5M), and the sixth-highest opening of all-time, behind Avengers: Infinity War, Universal's The Fate of the Furious ($541.9M), Disney/Lucasfilm's Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($529M), Universal's Jurassic World ($525.5M), and Warner Bros.' Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 ($483.2M).

Captain Marvel now also holds the record for the biggest opening weekend for a comic book movie with a female lead, both domestically and globally, topping Warner Bros.' Wonder Woman($103M domestic; $228.3M worldwide). It's also now the second-largest domestic debut for a superhero origin story, behind Marvel's Black Panther ($202M), and the fifth-largest foreign opening weekend.

With that kind of start, it's now widely projected to top $1 billion before the end of its run, which would make it the seventh Marvel Studios title to roar past the milestone marker overall and the third to do so in the past thirteen months.

You aint hurting anything :banderas:

And adding to the profits :umad:
