I'm gonna peep it on a matinee Tuesday the 12th with my AMC rewards shyt, but I don't expect anything more than the standard popcorn superhero flick. As long as it's decent, cool. I know agendas and shyt are running rampant and it DOES look very Mary Sue, but ehhh. They are putting a shytload of marketing bread into it and it does feel very forced for some reason. But that's to be expected to be real.

- Brie Larson said some comments a few weeks ago that rubbed many on the internet the wrong way.
- Many people started hitting the "Do not want to see" option on the Captain Marvel Rotten Tomatoes page and RT eventually took that option down.
- Captain Marvel's B.O. projections have gone up and down like a roller coaster.

I would like the courts to throw out that last bullet point above as other fans of other “franchise” have acted the same way at minimum and WORSE at max.

Cats in here already creating and upping AM 2 threads. Promoting it like they gonna see a nickel and that movie won’t be out till like what 2021?

Ok let’s break this down;

First off, remember I never said a year cuz off the top of my head I didnt know a year.

But it’s 2019 right?

Now in 2012, they was still in Phase 1 and 4-5 movies (of 20) was released.

When Fiegie was doing interviews or promo tour shyt and was asked about future characters, either someone brought up CM or BP and he pivoted.

I remember that SPECIFICALLY cuz I remember on here even back then a small few brehs had an issue with the thought of a CM movie and wanted BP first. So it is true and by even atleast by 2013 it was out there.

If we being honest, no one outside of the comics field aka CASUALS knew about Guardians, SS, and a bunch of other stuff both back then that at the time wasn’t out or even out now or dropping in future (Doom Patrol, New Mutants, Legion, New God’s, etc). So that’s not saying much.

1. 2012 Miss Marvel was introduced as CM and her comics failed and were rebooted several times. Hell the series died in 2014. Why boot a movie of a failed character series...?

2. 2014 Marvel announced Phase 3 with CM involved.

3. I doubt the CM/BP thread was even a large discussion.

4. I agree on Guardians comment. Hell people didnt know Walking Dead was a comic.

Ok and your #2, that pretty much aligns with my point. It was announced in 2014, but it didn’t come out the blue as there was already discussions from the head guy himself about it back prior to the announcement.

Also your #1, that’s not a question for me or anyone on here to really answer, maybe he answered it at those same Q&As. Hell why reboot a series like Daredevil off a failed movie? Why created Agents of Shield who really don’t have a strong place in the comics like that? It don’t matter the why but how about this.

Cuz a narrative around here is “Bu Bu Bu Bu but Marvel don’t like to take CHANCES” so maybe this is a response to that narrative or another example of them actually taking a chance destroying that lie. No one asked for Jessica Jones, maybe they saw that did decent and looked at this character that they own as the next best thing to try? Who knows.

Your #3, I don’t know or think it was a matter of being large or small, the point is there was discussions and debates in here about it years ago.

That’s all I’m saying, this CM thing wasn’t something that just came out the blue
