Untrue. Captain Marvel was introduced 2012 in the comics....no one outside the comic field knew about her.

Ok let’s break this down;

First off, remember I never said a year cuz off the top of my head I didnt know a year.

But it’s 2019 right?

Now in 2012, they was still in Phase 1 and 4-5 movies (of 20) was released.

When Fiegie was doing interviews or promo tour shyt and was asked about future characters, either someone brought up CM or BP and he pivoted.

I remember that SPECIFICALLY cuz I remember on here even back then a small few brehs had an issue with the thought of a CM movie and wanted BP first. So it is true and by even atleast by 2013 it was out there.

If we being honest, no one outside of the comics field aka CASUALS knew about Guardians, SS, and a bunch of other stuff both back then that at the time wasn’t out or even out now or dropping in future (Doom Patrol, New Mutants, Legion, New God’s, etc). So that’s not saying much.

Type comments, as the only pre Cinematic Universe people that was really known was Sam L, Ben Aff, RDJ. Everyone else has either been fairly completely new or someone that’s been around but always in small roles and never given an opportunity until they did a CBM.

Also a lot of folks never asked for most of the shyt that has dropped, whether TV series or Movies dealing with these properties. No one asked for Guardians, no one asked for SS, no one asked for Gotham, Legion, Gambit, Birds of Prey, Legends of Tomorrow, Titans, Doom Patrol,and a shyt load of other things but we got them and a lot of it turned out enjoyable were we are now fans of.

So we gotta move on from those talking points in 2019

The "who asked" questions are still valid which it comes to movies. Nobody asked for a live action Lion King. Nobody asked for an all female Oceans movie.

With that being said.

1. If you going to make a movie nobody asked for, you have to knock it out of the park.

2. the "who asked" shouldn't really apply to Marvel at this point. The OG Avengers have been on the down slope, and you had to replace them with someone. And it's not like the made Captain Marvel up out of the blue. It's a legit character.


This time last year, people were hype for this movie.

do you have a link? because the last time they announced carol in front of a crowd it was for infinite and the crowd didnt really react



she wasnt captain marvel in early mcu. she didnt take the name until the year before phase 2 was announced. and outside of preventing her failure, marvel didnt even know what to do with her at the time. i mean they still dont, but they are trying to give her the artificial wolverine treatment. before that, she was known as the chick that gave rogue her flight and strength and the chick that got.. well no need to go to that. so the anticipation is probably as artificial as the rest of her captain marvel everything



ive been seeing commercials for this since december. its been getting a stronger push that panther or the last two spider man movies did

Exactly. I am going to see it but more out of obligation to marvels story than this character because I do not like carol as they been portraying her since they decided she’s marvels wonder woman. And even the mcu which has nerfed countless other heroes saying carols the most powerful etc is meh just let me see the movie and I’ll see it in the movie also nothing I’ve seen in the countless clips so any scene that makes me . I would of loved a miss marvel movie tbh
