It's possible but dude is rich regardless, so it doesn't seem likely. He ain't even got paid for "Avengers 3" yet. Hell, he just got paid for 2. Dude is set no matter what.

Fred.

But if you read the article breh, he clearly wants more. He isn't about being "set" he wants as much as he can get and wants to milk this thing for all its worth. I ain't mad at him

Japan, but from the 989
They don't have an issue with Sony but they do have one with Fox..reason being? They get merchandising from Sony for Spidey...so most of the money made off of the film's toys, clothes, etc all goes to Disney/Marvel. It was part of the deal that Sony made with Marvel when Marvel wanted to make their own spider-man tv show and get Sony to shutdown the glorious spectacular spider-man

Marvel has issues with Fox to the point that they didn't want them to reboot Fantastic Four so they were going to cancel the comic book just to prove a point. If you check the current comics the FF has been in the background of everything and barely in the mix of anything.

I think it changes the fact that he's not integral to it which is what you said. Is Reed more important? Yes. Does that mean Spidey isn't though? No
I also said he could be cut out from the story and it would still be the same shyt which you know is true.

But it wasn't that the CEO didn't want them to reboot it out of quality, he just wanted something for it and he isn't getting it. THAT is where the issues lie breh. They got no problem with Sony because they get a cut of the merchandising money. They get jack shyt from Fox and that's what I was trying to explain to someone last week and a couple cats were saying that Marvel's CEO is trying to save us from a bad Fantastic Four flick and I called bullshyt on it. It has nothing to do with quality or just wanting the property back. Best believe, if they weren't getting anything from Sony for Spider-Man, they'd be pulling the same shyt with Sony although they would NEVER cancel Amazing Spider-Man or an X-Men book

Well I think from a character standpoint, it's important to show Tony seduce someone into going to his side. He needs to be the serpent in that respect and the fact that it's Peter, a captain America fanboy, just makes it harsher :whoknows:

Yeah but that's been his MO since "Ironman 2". He's always played hard ball with the studio, talking about :manny: "maybe I don't want to do more movies", obviously waiting for them to drop off that check.

I know you remember the back lash when it was rumored Marvel would re-cast Tony Stark. He made them lean back. Hell, he even renegotiated several of his co-stars contracts for "The Avengers 2". Obviously he wants to milk it but Marvel has pursued him, not the other way around.

So I'm sure this was in the works long before we heard of it, and long before "The Judge" flopped.

Yeah you right but in the media, perception is everything. Don't think it's a coincidence that Marvel leaked this story to Variety the monday after the judge flopped. It makes it look like RDJ came to them because he needed to get back on the horse and get a hit

You are damn right on all of this. Marvel has been on bully mode every since they started making money and I'm not even mad at them. They could be making more if they get their properties back in-house for the movies. It's strictly business but there was a time where Marvel wasn't making any money and they had to sell their properties so now they on some bully shyt..lol I'm amped about this Civil War Storyline and the return of Spider-Man to the fold. Sony needs the money so they are probably gonna make a deal to have him in Avengers 3.
