Exactly, these dudes don't understand that if Cap 3 and BvS came out on that date, both of them wouldn't make their maximum earning potential. One of them would've moved regardless, it just happened to be DC first. It's like Fallout 4 or Skyrim 2 and GTA 6 dropping on the same day, it will never happen and if it did it would be a dumb business decision.

You keep saying this but Batman v. Superman has been something that WB has wanted to put out for YEARS prior to even the formation of the MCU. The Dark Knight Returns was a story they always wanted to touch on. Nolan was never going to do it and they were smart to allow Nolan to do what he wanted. They made a ridiculous amount of profit off his trilogy. But after that it was back on the table. Batman is not a character that sits idle. It's just like Spider-Man. Why do you think Marvel is fast-tracking a Spider-Man movie? It's because these are iconic characters. Sure, Marvel has seen great success with lesser known characters but you never stray too far from your bread and butter. They wanted him back in the fold since forever ago.

People in here act like Warner Bros. doesn't know how to make money. They have a 16% market share on film. Same as Disney. They know what the fukk they're doing lol.

So why did they move BvS to the spot held by the "untitled Marvel sequel" in the first place then? They always knew going head-to-head with Marvel was going to cost them money. They tried to strong-arm Marvel into pushing the movie to a different date, Marvel wasn't having any of it, dropped the realness on them by announcing it was Cap 3, and WB scurried off because they didn't want them problems.

Non of this explains why it was moved from its original release date of July 17 which was way outside the range of the mysterious marvel movie released in may

yeah and WB heard it was Cap 3 they were on some at first. Like 'we got this'.
Then Winter Soldier comes out, and Marvel announces Cap 3 is Civil War and then they were all. Er, "The beginning of blockbuster season is now April!"
