As far as him dying....t's kinda feasible if you look at what we know and/or the rumors about "The Infinity War". The OG Avengers are supposed to come back in part 2....meaning most of the core group probably won't be in part 1. And if Cap is dead from "Civil War" to part 2....that would be epic. And the gems would be around by that point, to bring him back to life.

Fred.

You have a point. Maybe it's the "passing of the shield" that's throwing me off I just think it's ridiculous that we'd have a new Cap after only three solo movies and leading up to infinity war, Falcon was JUST introduced, Sharon barely got any screen time in WS, and Bucky spent the last movie as the main villian. Just doesn't seem feasible

The latest and greatest bit of promotional artwork from Captain America: Civil War captures what's sure to be one of the best battles in comic book movie history, and it's between the titular Super Soldier and future king of Wakanda, Black Panther. Check it out!

Once again thanks to the Hablemos De Marvel Facebook page, even more epic promotional artwork has been released online in anticipation of Captain America: Civil War. Featuring a great new look at T'challa, the Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) as he takes on the Sentinel of Liberty (Chris Evans) and his mighty shield, the artwork seemingly captures one of the scenes from the teaser trailer which saw Cap chasing after the Wakandan prince. Considering both superheroes are equipped with vibranium, the strongest metal on the MCU earth, who do you think will win?

Directed by Anthony & Joe Russo from a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely, Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain. Starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Chadwick Boseman, Emily VanCamp, Daniel Brühl, Frank Grillo, William Hurt, and Martin Freeman, Captain America: Civil War is set for release on May 6, 2016.

We have to remember also Sabastian Stan signed a 9 picture deal with Marvel so that definitely has to mean something for the long term.

:wtf: 9 pictures? Is he gonna be in every movie from now on :heh:

Stan auditioned to be Captain America but Marvel went with Evans instead. So Stan always had interest to play Cap one way or another. Have no idea but he signed a 9 picture deal when he signed to do the first Captain America movie. So far its not really the case since he's only been in the Captain America movies thus far. Marvel likes those kind of contracts like that so they can dictate the actor for multiple pictures like Sam Jackson etc. I guess we will see how things play out in Civil War.

9 pics is the most he owes them, it doesn't necessarily mean he'll be in 9 pics. I know a lot of the actors have signed on for a ridiculous number of movies because there was no way to know if this thing would even work until the first "Avengers" dropped.

One thing people are missing from that spoiler is:

That they said it's ambiguous as to whether it was planned. So it could be a fake death like with what Nick Fury did. Maybe he does it to make a point and then quits. I can believe something like that.

But that passing of the torch thing is nonsense. Someone else temporarily using the shield I can buy, but becoming Captain America? FOH
its happened in the comics breh

It wouldn't work in the films. It only worked in the comics due to years of comic history.

The only new sort of Captain America that would work is the government version that was brought in to replace Steve Rogers when he quit.

Guardian's of the Galaxy director James Gunn on Civl War

I saw Civil War and I think it’s incredible. It’s one of the best Marvel movies ever, and I can’t believe what a wonderful job the Russo brothers did. And the cast. Oh my God, they’re so good. So it’s an amazing film and people are going to be really excited to see that come summertime.
