Does Cap have a reason for why he's against the registration act beyond looking out for his friend, who despite being under mind control, was still responsible for international terrorist acts? That would be pretty irresponsible of him.

How about Tony Stark. First movie he says fukk the government. Then he's responsible for tech that causes catastrophic damage worldwide. He rides off in his drop top screaming fukk all y'all nikkas in Swahili. Now he's siding with the government?

:jbhmm:

In the comics the govt was too heavy handed and i guess cap was reminded of the same shyt when they tried to shove the MRA down the xmen's throats and overall the killing of people who resisted wasnt a good look either.

I assume the military and govt turns on cap because of his unwillingness to yield to authority... even in cap 2 :

He knows people in positions of power will use the registration act for their own ends and he doesnt want that, so if that meant screaming fukk the police, cap is gonna be there, doing what's right... it's simple as that...

Cap is still a soldier because that's what he knows, but he's been questioning his superiors in all of these movies, with the Hydra reveal probably being the tipping point

Everything Tony tries to do with no oversight ends up being a total dumpster fire, so maybe he's looking for a little QC. His father's death might play into it somehow with Winter Soldier too.

Agent Carter looks pregnant :dead:

:dwillhuh: Didn't even know that was her

that theory of him actually being Red Skull got me :ohhh:

Hugo Weaving made it quite clear a few years ago that he has no intentions of ever being the Red Skull again. Would have liked to see him eventually scheming with Loki

The entire premise of Cap 2 was that the government had been infiltrated by a terrorist organization for decades without any one noticing. I don't know how much that will be played up but it is a valid reason for Steve to want to pause and be sure who he is answering to. The fact that his friend is at the center of this and was also at the center of the last conspiracy he uncovered within the government might also make him suspicious.

Tony was against giving his weapons to the government in Ironman 2 because he was fresh off finding out that the weapons he sold were ending up in terrorist hands and the armor was too dangerous to end up in the wrong hands. After the Ultron incident he knows that working with no oversight, even with good intent can cause major damage. The fact that he was able walk away after that with zero fallout even with the damage that was done shows that something needs to change. As for him not feeling guilty at the end of the movie, Tony doesn't show people what he really feels in public. At the end of Avengers 1 he drove off with Banner looking cocky as ever but behind that was ptsd. In IM 2 he was dying while putting up a front like nothing was wrong. Just because he wasn't showing it doesn't mean he wasn't feeling guilty.

Funny how Tony was Anti establishment in the begining and Cap was pro.... now nikkas did a complete 180°

Even crazier that they sparked those changes in each other.

Breh....:dead:

EDIT: @Primetime...it would be ironic as hell if Denzel played T'Chaka too.
Lowkey, if he were to be anyone, I'd have him be Blue Marvel. Introduce him in some GoTG sequel and lay the ground works for the OG Denzel meets Young OG T'enzel, World's Blackest, Melanin's Finest, long awaited TBE (the best ever) duo in all the CU's (MCU, DCU, ICU). Gawd's team. Malcolm and Martin with the soul of Huey P. BP & BM, for all the world to seeeee:whoo:

From the description of Martin Freeman's character I think he's playing Everett K Ross from Christopher Priest's Black Panther run

There will be two Ross's then. General Ross and Everett.

I think he might end up as Gyrich. But Ross is very possible.
