I was perfectly fine with the scores to be honest, canelo landed the more significant shots every round
canelo was expected to win and he won, he won easily, the performance was okay not some epic display of boxing wizardy like people going on about, it's ridiculous
cotto didn't have any pop which is something I didn't expect, he couldn't back canelo up, or keep him off him

When it comes to Floyd, you're all about lauding his connect % vs opponents connect % as an example of his offensive/defensive prowess, but now you don't understand how we could give props to Canelo's steadily improving pure Boxing skill for exceeding even the Master Boxer Floyd's performance against Cotto (Cotto landed 21% of his punches, missing 401 punches, while Floyd had a 26% connect percent against him)?

....and that is a display of "master boxing"....especially against a fighter the caliber of miguel cotto.....cotto sure as hell had pop vs geale, rodriguez, and old ass sergio martinez. cotto didn't look strong because that's what canelo reduced him to.

I'm not surprised by them at all. I had mentioned during the fight that my fb feed was popping from casuals that weren't Rican/Mexican. I only see that during Mayweather fights n some Pacman ones.

Canelo is 25 fighting a 35 year old cotto I expected a KO to be honest from him, he hit cotto with enough shots but it seems like he didn't do too much damage to be honest, floyd sent him to the hospital if you want to do another comparison
Canelo always had good defense which is why he hasn't lost to anyone except floyd, he was much faster than cotto, which is why cotto couldn't land as much, but he landed enough which is why people are upset about the score cards but he didn't land enough hard shots if any at all

Canelo put on a masterclass and canelo will end up top 3-5 pound for pound in the near future
Im only using Floyd's performance against Cotto, which you thought was a good performance, to answer your question on why we are happy with Canelo's performance which you are downplaying....I'm not comparing Canelo vs Floyd as a fighter. In Cotto vs Canelo, Canelo landed 32% of his punches and held Cotto to a 21% connect percent...making him miss 500 punches. That's a really good display of Boxing against someone like Cotto which alot of people didn't think Canelo would be able to outbox him the way he did.
And, we're just saying there's a reason for that. Cotto looked amazing in his last outing against Daniel Geale, but looked old/slow/no pop against Canelo?
